Throwback Thursday to $760,000 Settlement for Failing to Perform C-Section Sooner Resulting in Death of Newborn
A woman was in labor when ominous warnings on the fetal monitoring strips indicated that the baby was in distress. They allowed her to continue in labor. By the time the C-Section was performed, the baby had suffered hypoxia resulting in her death the following day. Connecticut’s Most Dangerous Roads Identified
An analysis from the Tri-State Transportation Campaign found that 99 pedestrians were killed on Connecticut roads from 2011 to 2013. This number shows a slight decrease from 111 pedestrians from 2010 to 2012. U.S. Route 1 continues to be Connecticut’s most deadly road for walking for the seventh year in a row. U.S. Rote 6 was the state’s second most dangerous road for walking. For more information, click on

Connecticut State Police have announced that there will be fines this winter for not clearing snow and ice off your vehicle. Uncleared snow/ice is a $120.00 fine. An obstructed view due to snow or ice is a $92.00 fine. Make sure to clear the snow and ice off your car for your safety and the others driving around you.
