4. Craig Yr Aderyn (Bird Rock) (H)
Fabulous views can be seen down the valley to the sea from the top of this stunning hill. The rock is so called because it has a large number of cormorants and other birds nesting on it. The views from the top give a panorama of the whole Dysynni Valley to the sea. You may see the cormorants that nest here, it is one of the few inland sites for this sea bird, going back to the time when the valley was covered by sea and salt marsh.

1. Walks from the Trefeddian (V)
There are several walks you can do direct from the hotels front door! There is a charming walk from the hotel around the village disclosing the history and mystery of Aberdovey. Alternatively you can take a walk along the shores to Tywyn, the perfect walk for blowing the cobwebs away! For those feeling a little more energetic the Gwelfor walk is perfect for views across Aberdovey and the Estuary.

3. Broadwaters, Tywyn (M)
The Boadwater in a large salt water lagoon near Tywyn. Formed from the silted up estuary of the River Dysynni. In the eighteenth century the estuary was used by the shipbuilding industry, small sailing were launched to carry peat from the local peat bogs. The industry was abandoned in the nineteenth century when the estuary became too silted up, forming the lagoon.
