The Osa is one of the most pristine, beautiful places I have ever visited - in fact, the only vacation I have ever taken that topped this amazing adventure was a three-week safari in Botswana, which is a tough trip to match. On top of the amazing natural beauty and adventure in the Osa, the treehouse of Mike and Blondie is an unrivaled experience. It is not like a mundane treehouse "hotel" that is part of a resort; this is the real deal! It is a custom made tree-house that truly blends with the environment. Imagine troops of monkeys coming within feet of your sitting area with nothing between you and exotic birds perching and flying by at all times of the day. The treehouse is beautifully furnished with an amazing kitchen and comfy rooms. As if it couldn't get any better, the owners are a dream and very helpful and the caretaker of the property is one of the most genuine and caring people I have ever met. I will certainly return to this amazing oasis and encourage anyone who has the opportunity to visit to take it as soon as possible. It is a life-changing experience that will heal the soul and renew the life of anyone who visits. / 508-714-0622 / - Ask about green season specials, discounts and 3 day rentals starting at 750, sleeps 4-6 , 2 bathrooms.

Thanks for your interest in our Lapa's Nest Treehouse in remote Southern Costa Rica.  /  508-237-0812 or 508-237-1421. Our home was built 100 % green and eco friendly from rainforest hardwood trees that feel down during the rainy season. We milled them on site, and built from 10 different types of hardwoods, plantation Teak, Columbian, Asian, and Indonesian Bamboo. Built from scratch entirely on the ground and hoisted up into the canopy with a 9000 lb. Jeep winch. 1000 sq. ft, treehouse sleeps 8 people comfortably in 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and on 6 levels. Master bedroom 55' up, making it one of the worlds tallest luxury tree houses.  I was asked recently to describe our tree house -

"It's like finding your favorite National Geographic Magazine article, tearing out the pages and using them as a flying magic carpet in the canopy. " Uninterrupted privacy - Monkeys Galore !

We are situated in the middle of Sombra de la Lapa Rainforest Reserve, ( our property ) on 300+ acres of primary forest. You'll find 300-400 monkeys circling our tree house like a Dr. Doolittle Nascar monkey racetrack.  This year, we counted over 84 new baby Titi Monkeys, and the Congo Monkeys occasionally sleep above our house on the limbs of our Mahogany tree, peering in on us through clear roof skylights from above, as if we humans were the mammals  in the zoo. Truly one of Costa Rica's most unusual and unique vacation and adventure opportunities.

We are located 2-3 km. from Corcovado National Park, the most bio diverse area in the world .....according to National Geographic Magazine. When renting our tree house for a week, guests will see monkeys, parrots, Slaty Tailed Trogans,  Cookoos, Orange Manikins and  occasionally Kinkajous, Tayras and Anteaters. You can't get any closer to nature than this.

Guests enjoy unlimited hiking, waterfalls and quiet beaches nearby. Guests can pick home grown fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices from our organic nursery. Our caretaker, Wilber Cantillani offers guided hikes and there is a small spring fed dipping pool in the rainforest. We are located 10 minutes from Puerto Jimenez, where you find endless quiet beaches, great restaurants and a naturalists mentality throughout our community.

When guests see our Lapa's  Nest for the first time, they smile like they did when they were kids, their childish joy cracking their faces from ear to ear. It's truly an adventure of a lifetime. There are fun eco tours close by, including zip lines, organic chocolate farm, wildlife reserve, dolphin, turtle spotting and kayaking. For real adventurer's, there is  waterfall rappelling , tree climbing and crocodile night tours. Lapa's Nest rents weekly for  $1450 ( green season) - $3200 during holidays. Shorter stays are available upon special request. Below is our contact info. I have enclosed a few photographs of our tree house and
