Outside of a throwaway mention in "Come as You Are" I'm not sure I really ever heard of this guy, which seems it would suit him just fine. But as a decorated Ranger, and former member of Nirvana and Soundgarden, his story is pretty interesting.
Jason Everman was kicked out of two bands that went on to incredible fame. Then his life became even more interesting.

An old friend has been diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia, a disease where bone marrow does not make enough blood cells for the body. Only 600-900 people are diagnosed in the United States with this disease per year.

If anyone can, please consider helping Scarlet out with her expense of having to move to a different city for treatments for 3-6 months, as well as the cost of treatment itself.

Thanks all.

Rob Cantor from the band Tally Hall has a new solo album coming out in two weeks. This is the first video from it, and it's quite good.

You heard Tally Hall? Sounded like Wayne Coyne conducting the gene splicing of Beck and TMBG.

Example 1 - Tally Hall - Turn The Lights Off

Example 2 - Tally Hall - Never Meant To Know (w/Lyrics)

They have a lot of styles, but I really like 2011's Good and Evil.

I also think Sagan would be profoundly disappointed in the anti-science movement growing in the country. And in a stunning display of cognitive dissonance , usually spread by people using their GPS-enabled cell phones and computers over the Internet.

As always I worry when I read the word 'sequel.' But let's hope for a fun adventure.

I started taking my hybrid here because I wanted an official Ford dealership for my vehicle. We now bring all our cars here. They've always been a pleasure to work with, and have helped me prioritize repairs on my other vehicles.

Great staff, and great prices. A single one-off award/trophy, or dozens of them are treated with equal care. It's clear why Irmo Trophy has been in business for decades.

The Big Mo is a classic-style drive-in with modern movies. It's a great atmosphere, a wonderful time, and they have better than average movie food like burgers, hot dogs, and BBQ sandwiches. We love it!

A great live music venue in West Columbia. But other than finding a great band or a cool event happening here, there's little reason to visit as far as the "bar" aspect goes.

I like WhichWich's way of doing things. Sandwiches are made to order in sort of assembly line fashion. There's a large selection of choices from the traditional clubs to way off the wall (peanut butter, banana and bacon?). Not every sandwich is a winner, but they're worth trying. Shakes are pretty excellent too.

A great park right in our "backyard," so to speak. There are almost always people here, taking photos, running around with kids, playing frisbee, or just sitting on the benches. A nice little relaxing spot.

We come here a few times a month. We love it! Whether we're there on Tuesdays because kids eat free, or there to stop by after work to have a pint (or two) of their rotating beer selection, it's always a great time. While the fish and chips and scotch eggs are excellent, the food selection also breaks tradition with some curry selections, some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had, and yes, there are burgers available too. The wait staff ranged from good to excellent, but they're all knowledgeable and nice. The Bulldog can even accommodate a large party - our wedding reception was held here!
