The products are great but the customer service could be better. If you have a question they pawn you off to a local dealer. With the local dealer, you get what you get. How about just answering my question? Time is money and next time I'll use someone else's direct vent decorative in my house.

THE WORST COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I love my stove but every year I have to buy a new remote when my Tree of Life starts beeping at me. I change all of the batteries and the remote will never talk to the receiver again! The second one I bought was 1-14-15 and a year later I am being told I have to buy another one. That means one remote per year at $188.00. The representative said that they cannot guarantee the remote after 90 days and they buy them from a manufacturer. He told me I had no recourse but to bring in an electrician and put in a wall remote. I paid $3,493.93 for my tree of life and the remote lasts one year. The company is rude and not customer friendly BEWARE!

Hi Sharon, There is no reason you should be replacing your remote every year on your gas stove. We sincerely apologize if you had a negative experience and want you to be able to enjoy your Tree of Life for many hassle free years to come. Please feel free to call us if you're still having trouble; we're located in Washington state and our customer service is happy to help...800-654-1177. We look forward to hearing from you.

this product might be great but I cant tell my avalon pellet insert I bought in July 2016 has had problems from the start. fist not starting constently to blown fuse on the control board. was charged 179. dollars for that service charge to change fuse.because they could not figure out what caused it to blow. unit was and still is on serge protector. now just one day after that the unit will not burn pellets. everything else seems to work but what good is that if I have no fire. Called Anderson fireplace where I perchased unit from and did not hear back from them for 3 days . had to call them again and now they are sending some one out next week to look at it.so that will be a total of 8 days without heat, in the dead of winter. what good is a warrenty if you have to pay for service calls for a brand new unit. needles to say NOT HAPPY. at this time I don't know if I can recommend this product even to my enimies.

Can't say enough about my new DVL gas insert. I did a ton of research before I finally decided on the Lopi, and it paid off. Now I have a friend who's about to buy one of their fireplaces for his remodel! My installer told me they do tours of their factory too, so the next time I'm in the Seattle area I'm going to check that out. Thanks for building such a beautiful product!

What a disappointing fireplace to have installed. It has only worked one day out of the past two months, and the optional fan I paid for has never worked. The dealer/installer has been completely unresponsive, and they have replaced blowers and two modules with no success. I am extremely unhappy with everyone from my contractor, all the way back to the quality and support of Travis. I will never have a Travis fireplace in any property I own, and in the process of figuring a way to get this one taken out and replaced with something else. Never again....Just sorry I can't rate it lower than one star.
