NEW ON THE BLOG
[ I N S T A G R A M ]

I wanted to share with you some of my favourite UK family travel bloggers on Instagram. These bloggers provide me with my daily boost of inspiration and curiosity for places we are yet to explore, particularly around Europe. Most of them have kids in school in the UK and are keeping their travelling life flowing successfully around school terms; although they’re not too worried about taking their kids out of school on occasion 😉

This month we chat to Sara from The Wheelers On The Bus about her favourite #familytravel in Asia – Sapa, VIETNAM.

I absolutely loved following this family on their round-the-world adventures. They’re true intrepid travellers, with a true focus on giving back to those they meet along the way. And since returning to the UK, they’ve moved into a yurt in the depths of the Welsh countryside! This family is VERY cool! I’ll let Sara tell you more…

Our 16 day itinerary for Nepal with young kids. Includes things to do in Kathmandu, a 5 day Himalayan trek, and a safari to spot endangered one-horned Rhino. It was perhaps one of the hardest countries we've travelled with the boys (they were 2 and 4 at the time), but certainly the most rewarding...

NEW BLOG POST
[ S A F A R I ]

Researching poo, staying in pjamas and a portable urinal... just a few of my tips for taking young kids on safari over on the blog today. So many parents think they should wait until their kids are older to 'appreciate it' - but you guys know I don't agree with that ;-)

Have you taken your little ones on a safari? How old were they?

The Trans-Siberian must be the most evocative train journey on this planet. A trip of a lifetime for many. But with days upon days cooped up on a train through barren and wild landscapes, is it really a good idea to do the Trans-Siberian with kids? Melanie from Travel Wise recently took her three year old on this very journey and tells us more...

A good family tent needs to be big enough for everyone to sleep in without elbowing each other in the face, some indoor space to play on those inevitable rainy days, and has to be easy to put up and put down.

We recently tested out the Vango Endoras 500XL Air tent and have fallen in love with our second home. It ticks all the boxed for a family tent and as there are no poles, it is SUPER easy to put up (and even easier to put down).

The Just So Festival last weekend was our first ever festival with the boys and a MASSIVE success! It's a wonderfully creative kids festival in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, which embraces outdoor imaginative play.

Here's our review: https://travelynnfamily.com/just-so-festival-2018-reviewed/

We had a CRAZY amount of fun and already planning our costumes for next year!

We love our +Vango Endoras 500XL Air tent! #gifted

There's so much space and it's super easy to put up, and even easier to get down. So far we've taken it to the Just So Festival last weekend, and had it up in our garden (we only received it a week ago). But it's got us seriously excited about camping and we're busy researching where to take it next!

Check out this video of the boys putting up the tent. You can see how helpful our 3yo was ;-)

Select your island and then spend your days lounging on powdery white sand with turquoise waters lapping at your toes – Langkawi is the perfect destination for honeymooners and luxury travellers. But as +Sally Lucas explains, it is also a wonderful destination for young families and there is plenty to keep the little ones entertained…
