""The job has some inherent risks, when we plow snow and a number of other things, but to do our best to follow the rules and do the work safely," Local 280 President Mike Hanly said.

"Hanly said he came close to being in the count of workers injured on the job, when a van struck his truck in January, but thanks to this crash cushion he was, no one was injured.

""It's just having those things in place, having the equipment and such available to us, and taking advantage of it," he said."

We are so thrilled to hear that Mike Hanly was able to go home to his family after his truck was struck by an errant vehicle. We have had the privilege of hanging out with Mike Hanly at various ATSSA Events and we look forward to seeing him at many more!

We are proud to announce that the Scorpion II is officially the world's first MASH tested, passed, and eligible Truck Mounted Attenuator! We are so thrilled to be able to offer our customers the most robust TMA ever built.

The MASH standard presents uniform guidelines for crash testing permanent and temporary highway safety features and recommends evaluation criteria to assess test results. MASH updates and replaces NCHRP Report 350. This standard is recommended for highway design engineers, bridge engineers, safety engineers, researchers, hardware developers, crash test laboratories, and others concerned with safety features used in the highway environment. Products addressed in the MASH standard include longitudinal barriers, transitions, end terminals, crash cushions, breakaway supports, truck mounted attenuators, and work zone traffic control devices.
