Introduction
I am a working wife and mother of two girls, dental hygienist, and food/travel/lifestyle writer.

I found a passion for blogging that has brought me to writing at Daily Dish Magazine, Mama Needs a Vacation, Busy Vegetarian Mom, Answers.com, and Examiner.com.

When I'm not busy with the kids, I love to travel, experiment in the kitchen, drink fine wine and explore the internet!

My goal now that my kids are growing up is to start exploring the world and really live the experience destinations have to offer.

I recently visited the immediate care center after having an allergic reaction to a bee sting. The doctor did a thorough job monitoring me and my reaction and gave me a few options. He walked me through possible future reactions and what to do in case of a severe reaction. He then called to follow up about an hour later to be sure I was still doing OK and didn't need further care. Great experience with not much wait time.

We had the opportunity to stay in the Staybridge Suites at Folsom while doing a summer family roadtrip. We opted for the 2 bedroom suite for our family of four. By far our favorite hotel EVER! It's brand new (only 13 days open) with fantastic contemporary decor and fully fitted kitchens including full size refrigerator. The living area was cozy with a view out into the courtyard with plenty of seating and fire pit. The rooms were large, one with a king bed and bathroom, the other with 2 queen beds and bathroom. YES... that's TWO bathrooms! Now a must with 3 girls in our family! Each room also had it's own TV as well. On weekdays, you can go down for an evening reception and get small bites and drinks, and on busy mornings, you can grab a complimentary breakfast that has a ton of great options. The pool area was nice, the pool warm enough to be comfortable and hot tub was comfortably hot. Conveniently located right off the highway (but not so close I heard anything) as well as a large mall with plenty of great dining options for every budget. The area in general seems very upscale and new. We were disappointed our stay was just one night and we couldn't get back again during our trip but it is definitely our must go to hotel whenever we pass through.

I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant 1833 while in town for the Pebble Beach Food & Wine event. This experience ranked as one of my best of the weekend. I sampled 6 dishes, 2 cocktails and a cappucinno and all were exceptional. It's attention to detail that defines the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. This is where they shine. My server, Brian and the large staff of extra help never left me without a perfect looking table, new forks for every plate, I never had to refill my own water even though bottle was on the table, and continuously checked in to see if I was satisfied. I would highly recommend this to everyone as a fabulous value. Food and drinks are very well priced and worth every penny. I hope to visit again.

What a great way to spend a few hours in Carmel. Staci was an excellent tour guide showing us all the hidden gems throughout our tour. Even though I came as a "single", I found you quickly make new friends all being brought together for the love of great food.

Overall the hotel looks to be a bit older but very well maintained. Hallways a little worn but the room I found to be very spacious, clean and very comfortable. The service was wonderful. Quick to answer all my questions and help me with whatever I needed. Location was nice, easy walking to shops and restaurants. Right at Fishermans Warf and a short walk to Cannery Row. Just a few things to note - parking is $17/day or $20/day for valet, internet is not free and starts at $9.95/day. My first night was very quiet but the second (Friday night) there was a convention with live jazz bands that went on until midnight. Being that my room backed up to the convention center room where they were playing, I was able to hear the music until they were done. I would definitely stay here again, overall it was a good experience

I ate lunch on a very busy Thursday afternoon. I was a half an hour early for my reservation, and still was able to be seated quickly. The server seemed to have good knowledge of the long list of beer selections, but felt he was in a bit of a hurry to really slow down and make good food/beer recommendations. Food was good but nothing extraordinary. I would like to give it another try when it wasn't quite so loud and hectic.

Mezzo Thai is by far the very best Thai in the Tri-Cities! On our first visit when we were first transitioning to a vegetarian diet, Jackie, the owner personally made recommendations and cooked us a special dish and brewed fresh tea with herbs. I have never had a bad meal and I can not wait for the newest location to open on Gage.
