My submission for #FunPhotoFriday is a jumping picture from 2013 at #LocalGuides event before it was Local Guides. :)

I definitely prefer dogs over cats but this video was cute.

What's your favorite in all of NYC? A few of us did a burger crawl this weekend (more info to come) and couldn't get enough!

That's right, #Raleigh's TwoRoosters IceCream has ice cream flavored like pizza and grilled cheese http://buff.ly/1ik3M4I

#NationalBurgerDay AND #ThrowbackThursday!

Here's the purse I should have purchased for Saturday's burger crawl. I probably would own this if I didn't come across it at stop 5 of 6. Next time. :)

Do you think you have what it takes to conquer the Oregon Trail?

This is an interesting read from the folks at Frommer's that brings back such fun memories from my elementary school days: http://goo.gl/yc6uoO

They all look like great places to go. Any "top picks" from the crawl?

What's not to like about this place? The great selection of beer AND the hearty, delicious food just makes me want to live closer to it! I've had the spaetzle and it simply melts in your mouth. On a recent visit, I had the meatloaf, which was seasoned perfectly. Despite being more than full, we shared a raspberry linzer tart and two different chocolate ice creams. All I can say is wow, way more than I expected from this place!

This vintage store is tucked away on a side street but worth a visit. There's a nice variety of brand spanking new items (piggy banks, earrings, etc.) and vintage dresses that come in all sizes. The owner is very friendly and helpful, explaining the story behind some items, which I appreciate when I'm shopping small. They accept credit cards.

Brunch is served until 4pm, which is great and the later you go, the less crowded it appears to be. I had a glass of wine with the ranchera pizza (chorizo, mushrooms, tomatoes and scrambled eggs) and it was delicious! I also tried the burger and it was perfectly seasoned, even though I prefer medium rare and my dining partner order medium well. Cash only!!

Stopped in here on the last day of their soft opening but the place was pretty packed. They offer both table and bar-type seating as well as a nice little side yard. Crepe offerings run both the sweet and savory route with neighborhood-inspired names. A cold brew and two crepes will run you about $20.

Rating solely on the wine/beer selection (good), outdoor space (huge backyard with lots of seating) and the food (chocolate pop tart wins in my book, this place rocks. If you add in the crowd, it rocks much less. On a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty packed and there were kids everywhere — both indoors and out — just running absolutely wild while their parents enjoyed their time out. I love kids and don't mind them, but when they're affecting my experience, not cool. I guess it's just that kind of place: a haven for parents.

Love this place with friendly bartenders, a variety of customers (both old timers and new-to-the-area types) and a solid beer list. The burgers are killer, largely due to the fried onions on top. Jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks (with the spicy sauce) do not disappoint.

Charming little shop with various cheeses, cocktail mixers, meats and a make-your-own six pack offering. Huge selection of beers, both chilled and on the shelf, including McKenzie's hard cider. You can also fill your own 64 ounce growlers with one of their six or so beers on tap. Friendly staff, moderate prices.
