As many of you know, our associate, Brandi, is a huge supporter of Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. She has even started her own nonprofit called OurLove.org.

Well, she is now on a mission to help out #TeamEricAndRaulMontano ‬. Eric and Raul are twin boys who both had to receive heart transplants within weeks of each other. Their parents came to give Brandi a visit after they heard how much she wanted to help.

Just wanted to personally thank Ryan Darby, along with Khang Nguyen, for going above and beyond in finding me the perfect car at the best price. Both Ryan and Khang were very knowledgeable, respectful, and customer-oriented with a no pressure approach. I've never walked out of a dealership feeling so good. well let me start with 3 days earlier i went in looking for a new car and i started at ford no one will help me, went Chevy no one would help me there either , i went to Honda and i couldn't even get anyone to take time with me so i start thinking its the way i look, but then i went next door to Toyota of el cajon and that's where i met JOSE MENDOZA he seen me looking at cars and asked me if i needed any help he doesn't care what you look like he will help you. so i told him i was looking to get a new car or a used car and then the question about credit that's when i told him about my credit history he didn't run away like most people would do cus i am not a easy customer it was going to hard to get me in a car. At toyota credit was not a problem i found a used car that my wife and i like so we sat down and started talking about price and almost had a deal done. i stopped Jose and asked what other cars would you have in that price range, i thought he would be mad about stopping the deal and he wasn't which surprised me. he said " lets go look" we found 2 more used cars that we like and then that's when Jose asked us to take a look at a car that we have never would of thought of it was a scion xB. it was a perfect fit for what my family need a bigger car and to top it off it was a brand new car. So when we thought it was impossible Jose and toyota of El Cajon made it possible for me to have a new car. this is the first time ever in my life to have a brand new car. i want to thank JOSE MENDOZA for helping me and my family to get a brand new car. If you are on yelp reading this looking for a new car find jose at toyota of el cajon and let him help you find your perfect fit. he is a 5 star sales man. i will recommend him to all my family and friends. i also posted it on my facebook to go to toyota of el cajon and get JOSE MENDOZA as a salesman.....

I have had extraordinary great service from Toyota of El Cajon personnel Simo Vukotich. Every time I take my vehicles in to Simo Vukotich, he keeps me informed and just gets my services done in a fast and hassle free manner! Simo Vukotich is one of the main reasons that I keep going to Toyota of EC. The parts department Daren is always efficient as well. I give your team 5 stars

We're standing here waiting for them to bring the car up front. Been over ten mins to shuttle the car up front cause they're too busy eating pizza. All this is after they said brake service and to replace a cv joint boot would be $1700! Take your vehicle to THE TRUCK SHOP AT 8660 MIRAMAR ROAD. 5 STAR SERVICE EVERY TIME!!

It is not often that I get to provide GOOD feedback on a car dealership…today is the day. To start, I should say that I was looking for a Toyota 4Runner, Trail, Premium, not a vehicle that is found in quantity in San Diego, in fact, there were was only one when I first started my search. Working through United Services Automobile Association (USAA)’s Car Buying Service, there are only three Toyota Dealerships that USAA certifies; Toyota of El Cajon, Toyota of Poway and Toyota of Escondido. Escondido offered the greatest discount, so I went there first and was treated to a very inconvenient and somewhat sloppy “Bait and Switch” routine (Yes, I have described the incident to USAA). Next, and within $200 of the Escondido price, was Toyota of El Cajon, what a different dealership. From the start, I was treated with respect and professionalism. I had done my homework and knew the 4Runner, especially its off-road capabilities. I was on alert for what I expected to be typical salesman “fluff” and was surprised when I got none. My questions were answered with facts, not opinions and when my salesman didn’t know the answer, he said so and promptly found out the answer from their staff of experts. Okay, so they are not feeding me what comes out of the South end of a bull walking North. Now let’s find the specific 4Runner I want. I knew that there were two in Los Angeles and three in Phoenix, but I really didn’t want to drive that far if I could help it. After a thorough search by my salesman and his boss, they found what I was looking for, freshly build…but…in Japan. It was scheduled to arrive in El Cajon in three weeks. They showed me the spec sheet and estimated delivery date. I had a USAA buying Certificate which had a guaranteed price significantly below the MRSP. Right up front, they honored the USAA Certificate and after nearly 4 hours of negotiating and haggling on my part, we agreed on a price. It was so low that I thought “they will never actually sell me the inbound 4Runner for such a low price since the demand is high and supply low on 4Runners. At the last minute, after I wait three weeks, there will be a ‘hidden extra cost’ that they ‘didn’t know about’, assuming that I will simply roll over and pay the extra cost since I waited so long”. I signed no papers and neither did they. They said that I would be notified when the 4Runner came in and they gave me their price work sheet with our agreed upon price. Fast forward almost four weeks (not bad considering it came across the Pacific Ocean) the 4Runner shows up; I am called. With all my mental alarms in high gear, I drove to the Dealership expecting the worst. I was disappointed. My salesman had all the paper work we had agreed upon and the price did not change one lick. All the conditions I had insisted on were met and the 4Runner (nice and shiny) was waiting for me. I even enjoyed going through the finance department for the final sign-off of the paperwork. In a few hours, I was driving home my new 4Runner and I couldn’t have been more pleased. A special thanks to Michael Farhat, Hiwa Knoshnaw (Michael’s boss) and even Jose Gomez (Finance Manager) for their composure, expertise and dedication to keeping me happy and relaxed. When my wife decides it’s time to buy that Prius she wants so bad, guess where we’ll be going…

Toyota Of El Cajon offered me $500 to remove this review.... My personal finances were hijacked. I walked into Toyota of El Cajon to buy a truck with a preapproved loan from SDCCU, prepared for a standard options contract. The dealership assured me that they work directly with my credit union and that I wouldn't need to come back. At no point during the transaction was any other loan or any other bank mentioned. A week later, I found out that my loan had been sent to wells fargo. I received a total of three loan rejection notices from various banks. At no point did I have any knowledge of or consent to any additional loan applications. During this process my credit score was adversely affected to the tune of 70 points, as was my wife's. When confronted, Gary Guinn, finance manager at Toyota of El Cajon, responded by saying 'I never said I would give you that loan.' After a representative from SDCCU went to the dealership in person and had some stern words, we were able to get the loan moved back to my credit union. It has been pointed out that because I signed for the initial credit check, TEC had the authority to do this. There is no such thing as the authority to deceive during a business transaction. But moreover, this is about responsibility. I handed this business the key to my personal finances, to my borrowing power, and they ran amok with it. I asked for a simple transaction. I was given a months-long nightmare. Ultimately the customer relations manager, Laura Brewer, got hold of the situation. She has been a consummate professional and did indeed make a good faith effort to repair the damage. However, that proved impossible. My wife and I are currently seeking a home loan, and the damage done to our credit has had a real impact on the feasability of that. Ultimately, Gary Kaminski, general manager at Toyota of El Cajon, offered me $500 to cover our wasted time, our stress level, the damage done to our credit, the hassle we went through explaining the situation when we switched rentals, and now the trouble getting into a home loan. He offered an additional $500 if I remove this review. Suffice it to say I would far rather that whomever reads this chooses another car dealer than have $500 in my pocket.

What a fantastic experience! I cannot stress enough how smooth and pleasant it was to purchase my new red 2014 Scion xB at this dealership. After a terrible experience at Ford and Mazda of Orange, I was extremely wary when I saw the great deals Toyota of El Cajon was offering on their 2014 Scions. Salesperson Hiwa was so friendly to work with on the phone, and let me text photos of my car and CarMax quote to his phone so we could get the numbers worked out before I made the two hour drive from Riverside to El Cajon. He said he would match the CarMax quote which definitely was a time saver, and he sent photos of the car to ensure that it was still on the lot. He promised me the 0.9% APR promotion as well as the discounted vehicle price on the website, and he did NOT disappoint! I was so scared to drive all that distance in case they tried something shady once I was there (which the dealer in Orange did to me the night before) but everything Hiwa said was exactly as he said it. We ended up working with his nephew, salesperson Zack, while we were there and he was every bit as friendly and honest as his uncle Hiwa. They followed through with matching the CarMax trade quote, the APR promotion, and the discounted price promotion with no hassle, no pressure, and no rude sales tactics. The experience we had at Toyota/Scion of El Cajon was worth every minute of the drive from Riverside, and I can't say enough good things about Hiwa and Zack and the friendly atmosphere of the whole place! Thanks so much guys!
