A new language should be invented to describe how horrible this place is. I don't know where to begin. The "suite" we stayed in last night appears to have never had a visit from a maintenance person in the last 25 years. There is what appears to be shit smears on the bedroom wall. There are sticky stains and peeling walls throughout the "suite". The bed is beyond uncomfortable and appears to use a mattress that is older than me. Our "fully stocked" kitchen had barely enough dishes for anyone to use for any meal. Everything in the kitchen is sticky and stained. Outlets are missing covers (even the outlet that they wedge the bed against). The tub is peeling and gross with no hot water to speak of. The only picture from the web that can be recognized at this hotel is the lounge in the lobby. I would've slept in my car last night if their parking garage was heated or if it wasn't winter. I tried sleeping on the floor instead of the crazy horrible bed but the floor smells like citronella. Staff offered to switch my room for another of the same run down condition last night around 4am. I gave up and accepted some dirty moving blankets to put on the floor to try to provide some comfort. I have stayed in many different places over the years. This is the worst place ever in any location. I have had better stays in a tree, in a south east Asian slum motel, park benches, in cars, and even pay by the hour motels. Nothing is as nasty or run down as this "hotel". This place should be demolished. Updated: spoke with the manager and day staff. They were very accommodating and resolved our issues to our satisfaction. If only the night staff was as useful.

Horrible. Rooms are big, but falling apart. Our floor smelled strongly of smoke and the front desk said they would spray cleaner to cover the smell although we are certain the room next to us was being smoked in. Staff were rude and curt with us when we asked them anything, and the rooms were not clean at all. Our toilet had not been flushed, and was literally full of someone else's shit. There were dirty q-tips on the counters and condoms left in the bedside table. The roof above the shower was falling in and the shower had hair and soap left behind in it. Gum is ground into the carpet and the plaster attempts to mend holes in the wall is crumbling and cracked all over. The door to the balcony is held together with duct tape and there are paint splatters and carpet ripped at the thresholds. Absolutely unacceptable, the only things that are nice are the lobby and elevators. To top it off, WiFi is $14 per day! Do not stay here if you can help it.

If you see a good review for this hotel, the reviewer was paid! This hotel is absolutely disgusting. I refused to stay in the rooms we were originally given, even though we were going to lose over $450. The floors were beyond filthy - I was terrified for my kids to touch anything in the room. The carpets were gross, stained, and smelled of smoke. The location was not good either as it is located far away from the water and the nice part of town. After speaking to the manager, we were offered an upgrade to the deluxe rooms. Although these weren't nice by any means, they were better than the original rooms. It was late and we were tired, so we ended up staying. The bed frame was broken and pieces of mdf were splitting and easily seen in this upgraded room. The bath tub grout was filthy too. I showered with flip flops on, but chose to skip my children's baths for safety reasons. I am utterly disgusted that I had to stay here and that the standards of this hotel are so low. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE.

This place is AWFUL! I literally walked around the city for hours in the evening to avoid being in my room. I described it to my co-workers as a basement apartment - even though I was on the 15th floor. Peeling paint, dirty and smeared walls, DISGUSTING bathroom, musty/smokey smell, mattress that isn't worth crap! This place should be ashamed of the state of their rooms.

Good service and really helpful management. The wifi is slow and stops working sometimes. However, I enjoyed my stay.

worst experience ever. First of all the pictures of this hotel are beyond deceiving, i could barley find one picture that look like the rooms in this hotel. the rooms were beyond disgusting i didnt even want to put my stuff down anywhere. The big kitchens that they show in the picture is nothing but a little dirty old stove, and white old refrigerator, in the cabnets came 2 sets of plates, forks, knives and 2 cups were about it. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting, the bathtubes were old and had brown stuff on the bottom, we also had to get our toilet fixed plenty of times. the pool area didnt look to clean, the water looked liked it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Not to mention how me and my friends (a bunch of girls) were stalked by a man, we asked the front desk to come to our room and he never came causing us to have to call the police to the hotel and they had to come to our room with the front desk man still not there. Needless to say before that happened we had ask him to call the police in which he never did leaving us to do so. If i could have got my money back i would have taken my buisness elsewhere. This was the WORST hotel i have ever been to. I would NEVER reccommend this hotel to ANYONE.

First of all, I'd like to clarify that I am not being paid (in money or in the form of any other incentive) to give this hotel a good review, and I am in no way affiliated with the owner or management, so I have nothing to gain from writing a favourable review. If you want a nice room/suite at this hotel, you have to ask for one of the *renovated* ones (trust me on this!), and you will have to pay a reasonable price for it. The non-renovated rooms/suites are truly abysmal, as reported elsewhere in these reviews (i.e., old and dirty, and truly worth the low price you may be quoted for them). Basically, you get what you pay for, especially in downtown Toronto. If you get a renovated room, your experience will surely be much happier than those reported by other reviewers. My family and I had two of the renovated suites, and they were lovely, and very reasonably priced, at least in December. They were clean, modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed with a fridge, toaster, oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc. The staff are also very, very friendly and accommodating. However, I would recommend avoiding the dining room. The breakfast itself was highly unimpressive, and my mother poked her head into the kitchen and reported back to us that is looks like it should be closed by health inspectors...it was, in a word, repulsive (i.e., filthy). So, in summary, renovated suites: YES! I would stay in one of those again, in a heartbeat. Avoid the discounted, non-renovated suites and the dining room/restaurant!
