Bryan Uszenski and Theresa Redman have owned and operated Toscana Italian Deli since 2005. Theresa previously owned Casa Mia’s in White Marsh for almost 20 years, while Bryan owned two Italian pizzeria restaurants in New Jersey before coming to Maryland to partner with Theresa to create Toscana.
Our chef, Charles Drake, has been an executive chef in the New York, New Jersey area for over 20 years and received 3 stars from the New York Times (I was only able to steal him because he is family).
Our best dishes are our Italian Cold Cut, Cheese Steak, Crab Cakes, Lasagna, and our thin crust New York Style Pizza; All made from scratch. The crab cake is made with jumbo lump crab and very little filler. Our cheese steak is made with actual sliced steak, not the watered beef product that most places use. Every order of lasagna is made fresh to order and our pizza is the freshest around. We make our dough and sauce from scratch and use the Grande cheese, which was voted the highest quality mozzarella cheese for pizzas.
We wanted to create a high quality deli and catering business with a focus on the freshest food and superior service. We make all of our products using the freshest ingredients by getting our produce from local farmers whenever possible. Our breads and desserts are baked fresh every day and on the few things we don’t make ourselves, we use the highest quality products we can find like our Boar’s Head lunch meats.
By following this formula, we rose to be voted Best Deli in Baltimore by Baltimore Magazine. And now through catering, we are able to reach a vast area outside of Baltimore (like Washington D.C., Frederick and Wilmington) which has expanded greatly at the request of our raving fans.
