God's Law is full of promises of blessings! "The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes." The Creator of the Universe personally gave us Laws so we'd have a blessed life! I'm so excited I can't stand it!

Modern "Mezuzahs" (which means door post) contains a copy of the Shema (Dt.6: 4,5). These should be on the door posts & gates of our homes. Why? "And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us."

Even if we want to study American history of 100 years ago, we must delve deeply into the culture and the language terms used to put it in context. Encyclopedia Britannica recognizes it is even more important to study the background of the Old Testament.

Contrary to prevalent theology, Paul did not abandon the Torah. Indeed, if he had, he would've violated Dt 4:2 by diminishing the Torah. Further, his actions would've convicted him as a false prophet as described in Deuteronomy 12/13.

Many Bible teachers base their theology on the words of Paul. When asked to verify those teachings, the result is often more of Paul's sayings - as though Paul can serve as proof for himself. Yet, the Bereans went to the source. Don't settle for circular logic in your theology!

David, aware of his past sins, now sticks to God's Word. He realizes he needs God's mercy. Do we see our sins before us? Have we committed to cling now to God's Laws. As sinners, we depend on grace continually. Do our lives prove we used His grace faithfully?

What caused the Dark Ages of European history? Ignorance. Those in authority felt the people should not have their own Bible. Even many priests lacked the Scriptures. What Bible info the people knew came to them second hand. Then Luther read Erasmus' Greek translation...
