Interesting new smartphones as far as the eye can see in Spain, a fancy new cable that fits both Lightning and micro-USB ports, high-speed Internet in all US national parks (for better or worse), and automated online check-in for people too lazy to do it themselves.

It's Travel Tech News time again!

It’s happened! After several weeks of research, writing, and fighting with design tools (seriously, those things are a pain in the ass), the second edition of my book “Hammocks and Hard Drives: The Tech Guide for Digital Nomads” is out now. Yay! :)

Lufthansa speeding up all things luggage-related, cutting data use with the desktop version of Chrome, free Wi-fi coming to 400 train stations in India, and a price drop on the Google Nexus 5x... if you're quick.

What do you know, it's Travel Tech News time again!

Planning a trip to Cuba? It's a fantastic place to visit, but if you need to stay connected, getting online is an expensive, frustrating experience. Unlike even a few years ago, however, it's now at least possible to have some limited Internet access during your trip.

Here's our experience from a recent visit to this fascinating country.

Beautiful beaches, UNESCO World Heritage sites and breathtaking views vie for attention with near constant traffic gridlock, high levels of noise pollution and huge concrete monstrosities. Welcome to Malta.

If you're heading to this island nation any time soon, here's what you need to know about staying connected with a local SIM while you're there.

We mentioned it when it was first announced at CES last year, included it in our Christmas gift guide, and now finally, got our hands on one for a full review.

The Zolt Laptop Charger Plus was, unusually, as good as the hype. It's a small, lightweight replacement for most existing laptop and USB chargers, with handy extra features in a well-designed package. We like it a lot.

As of last week, Netflix became available in 130+ countries, which is great... but there are still some major restrictions on which shows are available where, causing big issues for the movie-addicted travelers among us.

New app Smartflix gets around this problem in a clever way that doesn't slow down your streaming speeds or stop you binge-watching all of Downton Abbey on a rainy Sunday in Budapest. We explore it in detail.
