Need to track Earned Value performance using Microsoft Project? Make sure that the following practices are in-place:
#1: Properly-structured project schedule... built from a well-defined DBS/WBS, following best practice standards.
#2: Resources properly assigned to all tasks with realistic allocations.
#3: Resources with hourly rates set.
#4: Baseline saved at the beginning of the project... before work has begun.
#5: Progress being tracked regularly and accurately.
#6: Project Status Date is correctly set to reflect the date of last progress entry.
