When Exactly Do You Need an SSL Certificate?
There are certain cases or scenarios when an SSL certificate is vital and at times even mandatory for your website. Take up these situations, for instance:
You are collecting sensitive user information, such as an address and other details that can be used to identify a person. In such cases, an SSL is not compulsory, but nearly crucial and essential to have, because the SSL sign will emphasize trust and reliability among your users.
You are collecting payment information, such as credit card details, from your users and storing them on your site. In such cases, an SSL certificate is compulsory to have, and in the absence of one, you should not be collecting such information.
You are selling a product, but not collecting any payment information. Say, you are using PayPal as the payment gateway, and as such, the user does not need to give you credit card details. In this case, an SSL certificate is definitely not needed. However, having a simple SSL certificate will be the recommended way to go — again, for the sake of trust and reliability.
You are running a membership site, say a forum, wherein users can signup and register themselves (with or without payment). In such case, an SSL certificate is rarely needed, unless you are collecting payments for premium memberships.
Yours is a blog. An SSL is not needed, full-stop.

Just bought the G502 mouse, #Logitech
This has the worst scroll wheel I have ever used, it spins freely and moves all by it self if a tiny breeze hits it????
If you lock the wheel the surface is way to smooth and clicks to hard??
I hate this mouse because of it... throwing it in the trash, terrible...
***The MX518 has the best scroll wheel you have ever designed by far.... why not stick with what works????
****I will never bu y another one of your mice again because your scroll wheels are so horrible.... why on earth would you not make the free spinning feature have a tiny bit of drag so it wont spin freely all by it self?????????????? it is constantly moving up and down all by it self????? did you not even test this feature????
It is so bad...... I am a programmer and graphic designer and this mouse scroll wheel sucks................
If you turn on the ratcheting button it clicks way to hard and loud and the scroll wheel is so smooth my dry fingers wont turn it very well????? once again did anyone try this out????
**(Logitech Developers)** look at the **MX518** scroll wheel..... it is perfect......

PC Gamers Urged Not To Download The Latest Nvidia Driver from last Monday March 7th
PC gamers with GeForce GPU graphics cards might want to think twice about installing the latest driver software for their computers.
According to many players, the new driver, which Nvidia released on Monday, comes with a host of bugs, some so bad that they could break Windows on the PC.
Nvidia intended for the new driver to fix performance issues with The Division, as well as Need For Speed. Instead, gamers report that the update only made their computers buggy, and includes issues with random blue screens of death, an inability to boot back into Windows and completely black screens.
Reports of issues have surfaced all over the Internet, particularly from angry players on the Nvidia forums, as well as over at NeoGAF.
"Driver crashed my windows and going into safe mode I was not able to uninstall and rolling back windows would not work either," wrote one frustrated gamer on Nvidia's official forums. "I ended up wiping my system to a fresh install of windows. Not very happy here."
The issue isn't isolated to one particular GeForce card, either: it seems that it affects every GeForce product currently available.
"Well, I've tried every combo of unplugging monitors, pulling cards, etc.," writes another angry gamer. "Windows 10 continues to give me the frowny face and can't start. I can't get into safe mode, can't repair, restore does zero good, I can't even reset windows."
The best solution for now is to stay away from the update. Nvidia also suggests this course of action until the issue gets resolved.

Whether you’re building a website for a new client or working on a project for yourself, customizing the WordPress admin makes the day-to-day business of working on a website behind the scenes a more personal one. Customizing the backend of WordPress with an admin theme is a simple way to give your install a new look that’s different from the black and gray admin theme we’re so used to seeing (if you haven’t already changed the admin colors, that...

I had no idea about this company and how it does business, very very smart! I have used and I am still using some of the companies on this list, some are good some not so good, none are as good as futurequest.net. I have put at least 30 sites on futurequest.net and not once have I seen one of them be down nor have I had any problems that I could not solve quickly and easily

For those who aren’t aware, Endurance International Group (EIG) is a Burlington, Massachusetts-based company known for its silent takeovers of some of the largest web hosting companies in the industry. To date, EIG has control of over 60 web hosting brands – which include some of the major players in the hosting business, such as HostGator, BlueHost, HostMonster, iPage, FatCow, JustHost, Arvixe, A Small Orange, and HostNine. In the web hosting industry, there is this misconception that “larger, well established companies will always offer the best in quality and service.” While this may be true for some industries, it definitely cannot always be attributed to the web hosting industry. With a very large portion of the major hosting companies owned and operated by EIG, it is important for you to know exactly what happens behind the scenes.

One of the FBI’s Major Claims in the iPhone Case is Fraudulent
By Daniel Kahn Gillmor, Technology Fellow, ACLU Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project
March 7, 2016 | 3:30 PM
Why the FBI can easily work around “auto-erase”
So the file system key (which the FBI claims it is scared will be destroyed by the phone’s auto-erase security protection) is stored in the Effaceable Storage on the iPhone in the “NAND” flash memory. All the FBI needs to do to avoid any irreversible auto erase is simple to copy that flash memory (which includes the Effaceable Storage) before it tries 10 passcode attempts. It can then re-try indefinitely, because it can restore the NAND flash memory from its backup copy.
The FBI can simply remove this chip from the circuit board (“desolder” it), connect it to a device capable of reading and writing NAND flash, and copy all of its data. It can then replace the chip, and start testing passcodes. If it turns out that the auto-erase feature is on, and the Effaceable Storage gets erased, they can remove the chip, copy the original information back in, and replace it. If they plan to do this many times, they can attach a “test socket” to the circuit board that makes it easy and fast to do this kind of chip swapping.
If the FBI doesn't have the equipment or expertise to do this, they can hire any one of dozens of data recovery firms that specialize in information extraction from digital devices.

How cool is this!!!!!

Space Shuttle Thermal Tile

The thermal tiles of the Space Shuttle had to handle the enormous heat of atmospheric re-entry in order to protect the spacecraft and its crew. Despite being heated to over 2200°F and still glowing hot, the material is cool enough to touch after only a few seconds. This is possible because of the material's extremely low thermal conductivity (contrary to what is stated in the source video).

The corners and edges of the cube quickly cool off after being removed from the oven because of radiative and convective heat transfer. However, because heat does not conduct efficiently within the block, it does not reheat the periphery very quickly. This allows the cube to be handled with bare hands while the center is still glowing hot.

At December’s WordCamp US, WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg used his State of the Word talk to exhort us to “learn JavaScript, deeply.” But what does this mean and what do WordPress developers need to know about JavaScript? JavaScript is an established and continually growing front-end language that’s traditionally been used to create animations and effects on web pages. Chances are if you’ve got a plugin on your site for a slider, social medi...
