Based on everything that has been going on in the Dungeon World campaign i'm running, it just doesn't make any sense for the characters to go back to dungeoncrawling. They have very clear motivations that will take them far, far away from abandoned tombs and fortresses.

They've become key players in the borderland lands. Their actions can very well change the politics of the region, as well as the realm itself.

Btw, they've just started hitting level 2.

Just saw it, read it, and responded. Holy Crap, Tony! I go away for one game and I miss the Battle of Helm's Deep?!

running funnel world soon-ish

I'm really looking forward to running Funnel World at my local RPG Meetup in a month or so. I'm thinking about creating a Funnel Starter based on a Torchbearer adventure I wrote a while back.

It would make way more sense for a group of villagers to take on the adventure than for the 1st level heroes that went through it a year ago.

Salt and Sanctuary post

Now that I've maxed out on Sword and Armor skills, I'm thinking about spending some points on Cleric and willpower. I wonder if I'll end up with a tank paladin build.

I'm not totally sure what to do with the card, but I'm thinking about putting the pin on the backpack I take to work. Hopefully it'll lead to some curiosity and questions, which in turn could lead to more people checking out this amazing game.

I can't wait to play Tom Clancy's The Division when I get home from work.

Let me know if you are looking for others to play with on the PS4.

I'm really bummed out I missed out on all the Free RPG Day activities.
But I'll more than make up with it by doing lots of gaming in the next few months:

1- Dungeon World (core and funnel world)
2- Delta Green
3- Freemarket
4- Warhammer Fantasy Role Play 3rd Ed
5- A Song of Ice and Fire RPG (Okay, this one is a maybe.)
6- Dead of Night

good adventure fronts for dungeon world are difficult to write

I'm spending my morning writing out some adventure fronts for the dungeon world game I'm running later today. The group gave me so many amazing ideas the first session, that the adventure front practically writes itself. That makes it so tempting for me to fill in the blanks I'm leaving for the players to elaborate on and resolve.

I totally agree. As far as I'm concerned, you guys own these adventure fronts; I'm just organizing them for you. :-)

my first impressions of the new doom game

- Starship Troopers + Resident Evil.
- Headsets are a must! (Why didn't they release a sound pack for Sony's PS4 headsets?)
- The multiplayer feels very Quake 3 Arena-ish; which is cool, but it just isn't really for me.
- I'm definitively sticking with this game for a while.

I'm not really sure why, but I finished watching Dracula Untold. There were some fun ideas here and there; I guess. It's in that weird category of not bad enough to be so bad it's good but it isn't really that that bad either.

Pretty cool day ahead of me:

I'm playing Shadows of the Demon Lord with friends and having dinner with my family. But first, a walk in the park.

Salt and Sanctuary

I'm 5 hours into my first run of Salt and Sanctuary. This little-big indie game has been my favorite game this year.

I'm currently brute forcing my way through it: no builds or anything; just selecting whatever skill i think will help me out the most at any given moment. I'll worry about builds and logical skill progression on my next playthrough.
