The changing fate of our Cuckoos and their hosts, are there bigger issues at play?
An amazing series of photos taken by Peter Allman at the National Trust's Calke Abbey in Derbyshire caused quite a stir on social media last week. They show a juvenile Cuckoo being fed by a Wren (below). Lots of people got in...

Here we go again, all in the name of progress? Millions of European Migrant Birds, alongside a whole myriad of other wildlife species, rely on rainforests such as these. Please sign and share where you can.

Spectacular trees reach for the sky in one of the last rainforests in densely-populated Nigeria. The forest — habitat of chimpanzees and forest elephants and home to the indigenous Ekuri — is about to be destroyed for a superhighway to nowhere. The Ekuri are standing up against the project and need international support — please sign!

Naturestimeline November image is up and running, I trust you will like it.

As per my comments on other Social Media platforms. "Two Red-legged Partridge (not one but two) without their pear trees, in fact there never has been such a definitive link between these two species. The main link whilst forgetting pear trees is that these birds need very effective habitat management practices in place. When provided with it, they can thrive alongside many other desirable wildlife species and I should know as I have surveyed many similar habitats and am always on the lookout to do more, any offers?"

Just as you would with your own business performance when time permits, you should measure it, maintain it or you will risk losing it. The "it" in this case, are your much-valued biodiversity indicators such as farmland birds.

Thanks to +lucy Guerra for highlighting this page to me. Rather than attempt to speak about what I do, who I am etc. I'd simply like to link to some of my pages which might be of interest to a few in here.

Under my brand of naturestimeline, I run http://naturestimeline.com/ which is my WordPress hosted blog and another blog I own is http://ukbirdingtimeline.com/. In addition to this I have obviously have a Google+ presence but also a Facebook page as per https://www.facebook.com/naturestimeline/ and https://www.facebook.com/naturestimeline.StandUp4Nature/

Enough.

Thanks again for having me on board.

Best Wishes
