Participation in Breeding Bird Surveys or any other ventures for that matter will be all the more important off the back of the State of Nature 2016 Report. Take this young lad's advice, get out there and start counting/listing species in the name of conservation science.

Just as you would with your own business performance when time permits, you should measure it, maintain it or you will risk losing it. The "it" in this case, are your much-valued biodiversity indicators such as farmland birds.
