Our Whirlpool Washer Model LSB6200KQ0 (nine years old) would not drain water after the agitation cycle. I checked the water pump and there was no clogging from lint or any other materials. The pump looked good and seemed to be working condition.

I found this with a Google search http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090426232905AAyPAni which suggested the lid-switch was broken and would not let the spin cycle start and water drain. The washer's consumer protection mechanism.

It turned out to be a lid-switch that had broken. Purchased a new lid switch. Replaced it following the directions from these sites:

It works!!!
