On January 16 I posted that my Facebook Subscribers were on track to pass the number of people who have me in Circles on Google+. In the 12 days since then my Google+ number has gone up by about 15. Facebook Subscribers have jumped by nearly 500, and now lead the Google+ following by 400.

I realize the number is largely irrelevant on both platforms since the number of actively engaged participants is about the same on both networks and is a mere fraction of a percent of the 9,000-ish "followers". I still find it interesting to watch one climb while one stagnates.

Don't forget about Edgerank. Not all of your followers see all of your posts.  On Facebook, when a tree falls in a forest, only Edgerank knows whether or not it will make a sound.

My FB numbers are pathetic. Here I have nearly 9k, like you. Twitter, pathetic.
