It's official. Dell is now a private company, and Microsoft owns a $2 billion stake.

Looks a little like the tail (Dell) wagging the dog (Microsoft).  Michael Dell traded pressures of a public company for the pressures of private company that owes a lot of money to Microsoft.
Uh, no. Deal's not done. Has to go through due diligence, like any deal of this size. And others have 45 days to put forward their own proposal.
