This is worth a quick read just to take note of the signs of a terrible company to watch for during the interview process. If a company does not treat you respectfully during the interview process, they are almost certainly not going to treat you well as an employee.

As the article notes, it's easy to get so invested in getting a job, especially at a prestigious company, that you ignore bad behavior from the interviewers and HR staff. Try to keep your head enough that you're able to run from companies that display any of the bad signs covered in this interview. It's a great idea to talk to a trusted friend about the process so they can pick up signs, good and bad, that you miss.
Nina went on three interviews with one company and then figured out that she didn't get the job only when she couldn't get anyone to return her calls or email messages. Here are three signs it's a good thing you didn't get the job!

Wow. I just heard the news. I’m so, so sorry. I can’t imagine what it must be like to be you right now. I can’t imagine what it’s like because it’s never happened to me, but I want to let you know that I’m here for you and if there’s anything at all that I can do, tell me exactly what it is, even if it’s an exhausting burden on you to figure it out. You are going to draw on incredible reserves of strength in the days ahead. Your recovery ...
