My salesman, Don Stokey, was wonderfully informative and accommodating. I enjoyed talking to him about the car and about his career in sales and his wife. It was a pleasure working with someone who, unlike the norm, was honest in his dealings with me. Also, Denny Klein was very easy to converse with and he was as adept as Don Stokey at customer satisfaction. It's been a while since I drove a smaller car but I think I am going to enjoy my new car. I have been driving Fords for about 20 years...and I rate my Ford experiences higher than my experiences with my previous cars, which included Honda, Toyota, Chevy, and Buick.

I had a bad experience this past week. I took my Explorer in for the works package tire rotation, oil change,etc.... I had to wait almost two hours, however, what happened next was upsetting. As I drove away from the dealership my tires started making a loud knocking noise and the steering wheel started shaking. I quickly turned back around and drove back to the Tommy Vaughn dealership.(I was less then two blocks away) I told them what was going on with my vehicle and they took it back to examine it. Ended up taking another 30 to 45 minutes and I had to ask what was going on and what was taking so long. I was told that ONE of the lugg nuts was loose. I tried to tell them that no it seems that all of them seem to be lose because the tires were shaking so bad. Plus I was able to see into the garage and noticed that the mechanic was tightening all of them. The manager came out she said she was sorry. At that point I just wanted to leave I was very upset because it seems that she was not concerned. I was not a happy customer.

Nice people but its kind of a rip off. 4 months ago they replace the entire light assembly on my truck. Last week I notice that the bulb was burned out. So I brought it in. "Oh" they tell me, "Replace the bulb is not part of replacing the light". Really? I paid close to 300 bucks for the light and you don't replace the bulb? And NOW I have to pay an additional 12 bucks for a bulb? Rip off. I bought that truck about a year ago and have driven it 4000 miles. In order to get it inspected they had to replace the wiper blades. Really? Its a brand new truck. They should have replace those blades for free and apologized for selling me a truck with worn out blades. Nice people but the service department rips you off.

Best car buying experience I've ever had. Service is excellent. They helped me get exactly what I was looking for. I absolutely would shop there again. I learned after I purchased that Tommie Vaughn is a family owned business--it's not owned by the Mega Corporations that own several of the other Houston area dealerships...

The salesman I was working with found a truck with the specs I was looking for and gave me a price for it. As I was considering the purchase, I received an email the very next day from the Internet Manager of the dealership. It stated "I have some Great News! We noticed that you requested information on a new vehicle recently. Now through the End of the Month, in an effort to earn your business, we will discount your Internet Price that was sent over to you an additional $1,000.00!" I forwarded the email to my salesperson. He kept avoiding the topic as we further worked out finalizing the sale. I pushed more and he called me and said that he would not honor that because they would be loosing money and that he'd just put the truck back on the lot for sale before he could honor that offer. I went ahead and purchased the truck anyway because it was a difficult find. I fully understand that a business has to make a profit to stay in business but I was only asking for the offer that the dealership threw my way. If they couldn't honor the deal, they should not have sent the email and got me excited about getting $1,000.00 off.

Tommie Vaughn's service department is very good. What makes it great, however, is the work of the service coordinators. Specifically, I return to Tommie Vaughn's service department because of Liz Bell. I've worked with Liz for about four years to have work done on my Ford F-150, as well as work on an older Toyota and Honda that I've owned. Liz has been terrific with regard to scheduling and communication related too my vehicles. And on the non-Ford vehicles, she has been clear about what Tommie Vaughn is capable of helping with, the limits of what they can do, and the costs associated with their working on those vehicles.

I purchased my F150 from Tommie Vaughn in January 2015. I have used their "Quick Lane" for every service. Usually, I am there around 11:30 and it takes about 45 minutes to get an oil change and tire rotation. On my last visit it took 2 hours. I understand when things get busy it will take longer but I wasn't notified of a waiting period. They always provide great service but I would be forced to find an alternative if they lose the "quick" in their lane.
