Quite a leap forward in 3D printing!
Researchers at MIT's Media Lab have created a means of 3D-printing thousands of soft, furlike hairs.

Beautiful photography and incredibly scary at the same time... Luckily thanks to efforts such as these climate change discussions evolved from being close to a conspiracy theory among hippy scientists to something undisputed. Difficult to believe some people still entertain themselves debating if climate change is happening at all though.

So, as much as today we see nearly everybody skiing or snowboarding with a GoPro on their helmet, in the near future we will capture 360 video.. and watch it with VR headsets!
Want to live in The Matrix? That's totally possible right now thanks to the exciting technology that is 360-degree video.

Pretty inspiring talk with applications all the way from the more frivolous mood analysis for marketing to the detection of depression and other mental illnesses.
Can the way you speak and write today predict your future mental state, even the onset of psychosis? In this fascinating talk, neuroscientist Mariano Sigman reflects on ancient Greece and the origins of introspection to investigate how our words hint at our inner lives and details a word-mapping algorithm that could predict the development of schizophrenia. "We may be seeing in the future a very different form of mental health," Sigman says, "bas...

This photographer (+Leonardo Antonio Avezzano) deserves attention: no trivial, over-Hdrred, or hyper-saturated shots. Only a great eye for the composition and huge willingness to fight for the right shot!

As you can see from my posts, I am generally doing this, this is a true call to help a talented photographer.
Help me out to spread the message, we all need more of this!

A glimpse of where VR productions will take us in the next few years...
Much more than marketing, the experience lets users feel what it's like to survive on Mars, just like Mark Watney. Yes, there are potatoes.

Incredibly beautiful beach. Especially being there from low tide to high tide to see the difference it makes on the landscape. Pity so much plastic is brought by the waves on every beach, we should really do something as humans to stop this mess!

One of my favorite brunch places in Amsterdam. Benny Boy and Forest Dwellers are totally recommended. Service might take a bit long, but dishes are well worth the waiting time!

Great food and service, next to the cathedral and yet without lot of traffic. Definitely recommended!

Great place, great atmosphere and great people. You get this cozy feeling when working at The Thinking Hut, which is difficult to find in other co-working spaces, and surely not in offices. In doubt whether to get a desk? Go there on Wednesday for lunch (and make sure you reserve a spot of what the chef is cooking) and check it out!

Great venue for an event! We had our What About Leo event there and turned out as great as we had hoped for! The bar at VondelCS is great for a quick drink especially at sundown with view of the park.
