Another year gone equals a new showreel to share! Digital-out-of-home advertising makes a proper appearance on the reel for the first time. Although the majority of our signage ads are still created with motion-graphics, we've been increasingly shooting them on Arri Amira and RED with the same production values as broadcast commercials. Looking back to the showreels we were putting out ten years ago the entire style of production is markedly different - back then there were no large-sensor cameras, no prime lenses, no significant colour-grading.

Our latest first-time TV advertiser - Gardensite - has gone to air with a campaign running exclusively on Sky's AdSmart. The commercial (part of an ongoing campaign of ads) will be shown across the country, but only in Sky households that meet criteria selected by the advertiser.
JMS are no strangers to producing garden centre TV commercials. We are now putting Halls' online gardening brand gardensite.co.uk on air for the first time.

The JMS Christmas card has dropped onto virtual doormats, and you'll have noticed we now make mention of advertising photography services... beautifully demonstrated by Emma and Luke. We've been shooting commercials for more years than we care to mention (ahem, 32 years) and increasingly clients have been asking... 'can you grab some photos at the same time for our print campaign?' Well, now we officially offer this!

Simply had to share this photo of a small set we constructed for a commercial which is currently in post-production. Without a doubt the most atmospheric scene we've created in the studio - and with a beautifully simple lighting setup, a single HMI through the roof-light, a soft-box to provide some fill, and a single pendant bulb to add to the atmosphere.

More commercials, hot off the press! Another set of ads for Accord, promoting Canada as a holiday destination in 2016.
Creative agency Accord coined the line ‘Open Your Eyes To Canada’ in a travel advertising campaign for Canadian Affair. TV commercials were produced by JMS.

How to Write the Perfect Brief: Save Time and Money.

Whether or not you’ve advertised on TV before, for the ins and outs of TV advertising sign up to Francesca de Lacey's Chamber Session, free for all Norfolk Chamber members, on 2nd February 2016 at 8.30am.
As we all know, time is money, and there is nothing more time-consuming than the back and forth that happens when a brief to a supplier is lacking.  The supplier either has to ask a multitude of questions to be able to respond accurately (with a quote, an idea, a script etc) or they just play a guessing game and inevitably disappoint the client and themselves.

John Mountford is back on screen! Well... kind of. Our Chairman took the role of newsreader in a corporate video commissioned by Anglian Water for the wider water industry. The video was so successful we're happy to say that we made it twice!
A corporate video created for Anglian Water proved so successful at highlighting challenges facing the water industry it's being issued to a wider audience.

Another warm, chummy, feel-good ad for the festive season. You could even say it's 'well-seasoned'... no? tumbleweed blows by Check out out little roasted commercial with the lovely soothing tone of Jane Horrocks. It will be on your screens in the run up to Christmas. We were frying in the studio ALL DAY on this shoot, it smelled like a chip shop by the time we wrapped!

Introduction
I'm Tom Vaughan-Mountford, and I'm the senior video editor, technician and online marketer at JMS Group in Norwich.

We produce on average 250 television commercials and 1,500 radio commercials every year.

When we're not making all of these commercials we are helping businesses large and small across the UK and USA to market themselves publicly, or communicate internally, using professionally produced corporate video from our base in Norwich, East Anglia.

Our TV commercials can be seen in almost every ITV region, dozens of VOD apps, many channels across Sky and on several European channels. Sometimes they even make an appearance in cinemas! Our radio advertising airs on most UK commercial FM stations, niche DAB stations and via Spotify. Our business video productions are used globally.
