If you've been waiting for the Rolls Royce of mirrorless cameras to be made before you jumped into the mirrorless category. Now's your chance.

And I do mean Rolls Royce. Not only is this camera priced like a Rolls, the final assembly of the camera is performed by hand at Leica's plant in Germany. There is a separate slideshow on dpreview's site showing you how the camera is milled and assembled, if you're interested.

FUN STUFF/NOT TECH  -

I know Amazon said this was going to arrive today, but I really wasn't expecting to see a USPS guy delivering on Easter Sunday.

Another auto awesome, but G+ assembled it in reverse. This goes from deep mid eclipse to just before totality. Still looks amazing IMNSHO.

Auto awesome of last night's eclipse. I had excellent viewing conditions in my neighborhood. This is made from shots covering about 20 minutes before to 5 minutes before totality.

Interesting Auto Awesome from the eclipse last night. Only problem is that G+ assembled the images in reverse order. So it goes from deep total eclipse to just before total eclipse. Still looks cool IMNSHO

The new camera from Lytro looks interesting… Especially since Panasonic has patented their own lightfield capable camera sensor.
"Okay, can I take it out of the box now?" Lytro product director Colvin Pitts wants to show me the camera he’s been working on since 2007. He cautions that it’s just an early model,...

RUMORS  -

BGR has been right in the past. This rumor may have some legs after all.
After years of development, Amazon is finally close to unveiling the first of several own-brand smartphones. At a distance, Amazon's upcoming flagship phone looks much like any other touchscreen ph...

+Srinivas Kilaru Is it dead? 3D in movie theaters seems to be moving along. iOS 7 and 7.1 has a 3D effect where the background moves independently based on movement of the device. The Nintendo 3DS is a fairly successful game device that features glasses free 3D. What's dead is the poor attempts at putting 3D on TV using passive glasses (dark, lower resolution) or active glasses (expensive, syncing issues, battery issues).

It remains to be seen how Amazon will implement and use 3D in their phone, but maybe it will work and they'll have good reason for it. Four infrared cameras around the screen tells me that this is eye tracking technology that should work without any glasses and should work no matter the screen orientation.

My shots of last nights total lunar eclipse, as seen from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I had nice viewing conditions last night. While it was cold, there was very little wind. All taken with my Panasonic FZ-70.

Thanks! I was just pleased the weather cooperated. So often this time of year we have clouds and storms. I was thinking that I'd have to wait until October to see a Lunar eclipse this year.

If you want the Blackberry Playbook, Blackberry's attempt at making a tablet, it's only $60 on eBay today. Considering it was originally $500, that's quite a deal if you don't mind the dead end platform.
