This is for +Dan Saunders.  A totally boring video of me on rollers for a couple of minutes, figuring out how to ride pretty quickly, while looking a lot drunk until then.  I edited the first 2 minutes off this video, I didn't think anyone wanted to see me get on the bike, pedal one revolution, notice that my tires are completely flat, and then pump them up.  I certainly didn't want to watch that again :)

I also clicked the button to remove a copyrighted song, apparently I was listening to music quietly in the background...

I think I have a 20' "active" usb cable lying around somewhere.  There doesn't seem to be any non-garmin ones that are any cheaper, so that was already my plan :)

+Tom Ligman I saw your other photo doing 'test drillings' to find the sweet spot. I always used an adjustable square to measure, but I can't recall what my 'sweet spot' measurement was.

Stopped by the big box hardware store...  I grabbed a sheet of 23/32" "cabinet" plywood for the desk surface, had it cut into an 11" strip ,a 33" strip, and a leftover bit.  I also grabbed 3 of the 8 foot long 5/4"x3" "finished" or whatever they call it dimensional lumber.

So the desk surface will be 33" deep, 96" wide, and just shy of 4" thick. The 5/4x3 will be glued and pocket screwed to the underside of the desk surface for added strength and stability as a frame (1 across the front, one across the back, one cut into 3 pieces for bracing.  I also bought a pocket screw jig, a box of 100 cabinet screws, and a bottle of glue.

I could have bought less espensive versions of some of this, but then I would have to do more finishing work myself.  Since I'm bad at finishing work, this is a better choice.  Once I have it assembled and the glue has dried, I'll look into a finish stain.

+Paul Bucalo wanted to be tagged in on this project as it unfolds :)

You mentioned not enough room. If you mean bench top space, not working room, then by all means do it in the basement. As long as you can get it upstairs when you are done with it.

I had almost convinced myself, in my snooze dreams, that one more snooze would open a portal to a hot new burrito place.

This WatchMaker app is fun.  Totally and completely fun.  Took about 5 minutes to swap things around on my watch face for my meeting with Frank from Slow Roll CLE this evening at 18:00

Still just playing around with this concept, different bike group logo this time and bike wheel and tire for the second hand :) stock hands for hour and minute.

The stock Samsung app has actually been great for me, though I don't really get a listing of voicemail messages, just a notification that I have one and then I have to call in.

Pocket hole practice... I'm a little surprised that I managed to dial in the right position and depth on the third try, but the third and fourth holes are the same and just right. ~5/8" down from the top and ~1/2" of screw exposed is just about perfect for attaching 5/4" lumber to a 23/32" plywood top, right?

"Barista" just told me they couldn't do decaf pour over, but could do a decaf Americano. Said decaf ends up as sludge in a pour over. NFI what she's on.

Delicious pancakes, and I love the slightly spicy "real f'ing breakfast burrito". Try to make your visit on a weekday to reduce the wait.

Amazing service, fantastic food. We enjoyed a family dinner for twelve at 4pm on Christmas day and it was all just about perfect. Accommodating for our young "adult" picky eaters, perfectly cooked steak, delicious Beaujolais, perfect pull of espresso... This place might be good enough to drag me back to Disney again :)

So. Citizen Pie. What can I really say about this place? It's a very small and cozy little pizza joint. You can see the staff making pizzas all the way through the process and can even see inside the oven to watch your pie bubble up as it makes its way to your table. There's less than 30 chairs in the place, so don't expect a big place when you show up :) It takes about 90 seconds to bake, but a few minutes to assemble -- overall a very quick experience if there's not much of a line. The crust is the perfect thin and crispy chewy textured kind of thing that you expect from a wood fired oven. The toppings seem fresh and are very tasty. I got a Margherita and watched as the guy making it pulled basil leaves off a bundle of fresh basil, Lisa got the Spanish pie with Manchego and Chorizo and it was also brilliant. At around 11-12" apiece, they're a little big for a personal pizza (unless you believe in yourself) and a little small to be shared. I'd say get one each and either show up hungry or plan to save a slice or 2 for breakfast. This morning I had a piece from the pepperoni pie I took home cold for breakfast and that was pretty great too :) 5 stars, a bunch of thumbs up, and a hearty recommendation to try it out yourself.

Excellent experience, quick shipping even though it had to pass through customs, and the price was about 2/3 of what I'd found locally. Would definitely shop here again.

I said "call ahead - secure building" and they didn't. And then the guy called when he was already here and told me where he was to meet him. And then he wasn't there. And then I called the restaurant to ask them to have him call me again. And instead of that, they argued with me about the guy speaking broken English and me not being where I ordered delivery to. So I told them to cancel it. They'd better refund the charge. Last time I'm ever ordering from Pizza Hut.
