Got the XP blues? Don't lament, try Linux Mint!
I don't recommend that you continue to use XP, but some will need to, until they can upgrade. Many are using XP on older hardware that doesn't meet the required specs for Windows 7 or 8. Or you may not want to spend $100 to upgrade your older computer's OS. Peace out dudes and dudettes! There is hope!
I just installed Linux Mint on my old Toshiba laptop. It was as easy to install as Windows and it is as easy to use. It runs great on older hardware too! You won't have to go near a command line if you don't want to. It also comes with a bunch of excellent, free software, including Libre Office, a MS Office compatible suite.
You can easily install it to dual boot, so you don't have to delete your XP installation. The only kink I have found so far, is with Netflix streaming. It works with a couple of tweaks, but video is a bit jerky. I'll get back to you soon with my progress on that.http://www.linuxmint.com/
