Feedback and Ideas  -

Small issue with selects and radio field types: Selecting "default" does not appear to make the item selected by default in the entry publish form. It is also possible to choose more than one as a default when creating the options. May also apply to similar field types, I've not checked.
Also - is this the best place to report bugs? Thanks :)

Thanks Tom. Yeah we're aware of that one and will be looking into it soon.

Sending an email to support@buildwithcraft.com might be a better option for bug reports.

How Do I?  -

Hey all,

Long, long time EE user now making the switch to Craft. Very much enjoying it so far, so thank you Brandon.

Question about tags - I'm trying to output content from multiple channels which all use the same tag field. However, when searching/returning entries only the items from a single channel are returned..

I've tried clearing search indexes, caches etc. I followed the "How do I give tags their own URLs?" post. I've also tried filtering by channel but get the same result.

Can anyone advise me on returning entries with the same tags across  multiple channels?

Thanks!

Hey Tom,

Can you send us a ticket from your dashboard? And zip up your craft/templates/ folder and include that in the ticket, via the attachment field?

Hey again all,
Craft uses hyphens in its URLs. Is there a way to use underscores instead? I'd like to set this as a preference over hyphens.

To explain: Although SEO bods will no doubt want to tell me this is a bad thing, however this is far less of an issue for search engines these days, and urls containing underscores are not treated any differently by the big players. Using underscores can improve the readability of URLs without conflicting with words containing genuine hyphens. And hey - It works for Wikipedia.
A bigger issue for us is that our legacy URLs all use underscores, and I'd like to continue this precedent.

Is this going to require a hack or may I put in a feature request? I can see this as being very handy for users migrating from EE as this is something EE had as configurable.

:)

If you like hospitals and Travelodges, then this is the place for you. I say this because of the long, feature less corridors to the rooms, with occasional cleaning trolleys gave me a distinctive feeling of being in a hospital - and the rooms only being marginally better than the last time I stayed in a travelodge. On arrival, my chirpy conversation was met without a smile and instead, only a rather grey, dreary check-in process. There's only so much you can do to try and crack a smile out of someone who clearly isn't enjoying their job. The room itself was simply not not a four star room. It's an insult to genuinely 4 star hotels to call it one. The regular double sized bed mattress was very thin, sat on top of two solid divan bed boxes. Only two pillows were on the double bed itself. The walls were thin and you can hear people next door and in the corridor very easily. The room had a single paltry electric heater, so inadequate that an additional standalone heater had been added to the room. The television was a cheap, poor quality flatscreen, the hotel guide book had a few hilarious stock images adorning its cover - showed smiling photos of business men in bedrooms entirely different to that of the hotel. No wi-fi in the room. The view from the window was on to a car park - as I expect a majority of the rooms must be, considering the hotels layout. As the queues for breakfast the following morning were simply too big, we didn't have time to hang around to experience it. The most positive thing I can say about the room was that it was clean (ignoring the red nail varnish and the orange juice carpet stains). I should also point out that we didn't use the Hotel Spa. To put it succinctly: this place is a three-star, mediocre quality, souless, over priced conference centre. Our friends payed for a B&B down the road, saved £40 and also got a lovely view, free wifi and a decent bed.
