Good article to put this technology in perspective. It is only a matter of time when we won't be able to live without it.
Revealed at the Wearable Technologies Conference in San Francisco: the "dirty little secret" of activity trackers and smartwatches is that they're still not worth it.

Lastly it cost so little it's an impulse buy just to try it out and have it on hand in case you need it. What are you waiting for?

Tune in for an important PSA from Mashable: If and when you do obtain a pair of Google Glass, don't let it turn you into a Glasshole! http://on.mash.to/12xp1n3

Today in Geek History: In 1984, the very first version of Tetris was released by Alexey Pajitnov. Cue Tetris theme!

Looking forward to the release of the Razer Nabu. A smart-band beyond just health metrics. I found the social aspects pretty neat. Apparently there are thousands of developers waiting to get access to the SDK for this.
Razer Nabu features two OLED notification screens, advanced sensors to track data for self-analysis, and band-to-band communication abilities.

Unboxed some BOSE headphones today. They were surprisingly light and comfortable. They also sounded great. TrueSound over the ear headphones. Pretty good noise cancelling. At $175 not cheap but not going to break the wallet either.

Correction: SoundTrue headphones not TrueSound. ;)

This article nails it for the long suffering Toronto sports fan: thestar.com: Tim Leiweke scaling new heights of human hubris and ego: Feschuk. http://goo.gl/mag/mohlGU0

Vacation on (March 13-20, 2016) - Poor accommodations, service, and cockroaches. The first 2 days we were there we couldn't even get beach towels. They kept saying come back later. When we finally did they wouldn't exchange for fresh ones. The beds were so old you could feel the springs poking you and some beds were so hard it was almost like sleeping on a rock. You woke up more tired then when you went to bed. They never changed our towels in our room even when we asked. They simply stated they had none. I had low expectations on the food and so I was prepared for that, except that everyone eventually got sick with some sort of stomach bug that I'm still fighting since I got back 3 days ago. Numerous times I was lined up at the buffet and would see the odd cockroach walking along the counter tops. I even saw one in one of the public washrooms the size of a small bird. Yes...no kidding. One morning I had to track one down in our bedroom before the kids saw it. Those suckers can move. The bars were so understaffed you had to wait for long periods of time to get a drink and when you did get a drink it came in the smallest of plastic cups. You need a Bubba on this trip. It almost felt like they understaffed it to control the amount of alcohol they could physically serve. The place is also bit difficult to navigate. They also made sure everyone got lost between the pool, beach, and hotel rooms by placing maps along routes with indicators "You are here", but when you looked closely you realized it was incorrect and weren't where they said you were on the map. That was fun. The weather and beach was perfect but I guess the hotel couldn't control that. Please do not go to this hotel. I'm not sure where these positive reviews are coming from, but they obviously haven't traveled much.
