It is my personal opinion that file sharing, despite all the anti-filesharing propaganda, is going to be the way we do things in the future. The church put people to death for using the printing press, the MPAA is doing their best to stop file sharing.

None of this helps the real content creators, it just helps the plutocrats. Let's hope this trial puts the plutocrats in their places.

"The copyright industry goes ballistic at this proposal, of course, and try to portray themselves as rightsless victims – when the reality is that they have been victimizing everybody else after making the entire planet rightsless before their intellectual deforestation." +Rick Falkvinge

Gotta question- is Google Drive hack-proof? I put up some passwords on Google drive and shared them with one other person. Our server has been hacked, and I'm wondering if that was the reason.

I must admit, sometimes the way MDs prescribe is a bit scary. Recently my LDL was 131. My MD immediately prescribed a statin. I took statins 15-20 years ago, had muscle problems and loss of memory. So I did some research found out it is the size of the LDL particles that makes the difference. Small? Very bad. Large? Benign.

So I did a lab test, and guess what- they are large and benign. Sure am glad I didn't take any statins! Not real excited about MDs.

Tom EVERY doctor needs to be taken with a grain of salt. More so now that FDA trial and approval times are fast tracked. Not all medicine is bad, but not all of it is good either, notr the advice you get. Research and second opinions will keep you above ground.

This is great- "Ninety percent of the revenue from BitTorrent Originals will go to content creators, who get to decide whether to charge viewers for shows or stream them free with advertising added, according to the company."

BitTorrent is headed the right direction.

Indeed. Tessa Lena commented on my post on Facebook that this may just be plutocrats fighting plutocrats.

Ah, Amazon. For a number of years we've been selling our products there. Very few sales- maybe 1-2 a month, and rather than having an online download we needed to send a CD. We finally decided to dump them.

Got a reply. Because software is intangible, if a customer opens the package and installs the software, we don't allow them to send back the CD so they can get a refund. Unfortunately we've had people do that. but keep using the software. The reply said, "It will be necessary to afford those buyers the opportunity to return these items if desired." So there's about $160 worth of purchases where people could return the CDs but keep the software.

Not exactly good news, I'm glad we're done with Amazon. Buying from Amazon can be even more ridiculous- recently I ordered a medical test and got a piece of hardware. The seller never responded, finally I had to call Amazon on the phone.

I am not very happy with Amazon right now on a number of fronts.

Google started out, years ago, on the right foot- "do no evil". It is very unfortunate that they decided to go the other way.

I have been nearsighted for many years and have seen many optometrists. Recently I saw Dr. Michael G. Kiyomoto, and, in my opinion, he is absolutely excellent. Very detailed, very careful, lots of explanation, was not trying to sell me glasses. I strongly recommend Dr. Kiyomoto.
