Google apparently doesn't want third parties even messing with their bookmarks. But in any case bookmarks don't properly belong in a narrow ribbon at the top of the browser. They should be a super menu that slides in from the left side where gawd intended them. I have hundreds of deeply categorized bookmarks so I can save interesting things to revisit them or to make a salient point with an authoritative reference. There is no way to do this in a tiny ribbon.
I will probably return to Opera on my upcoming new PC, because the rendering engine is now WebKit, just like Chrome so that should kill the bugs.
