It would be difficult for anyone who deals with the internet to avoid the constant message that the world is going digital, and that digital is better. Digital audio is better than other audio, digital video is better than other video, etc. If you are like a lot of us, you are wondering just what digital audio is, and whether it really is better. The following information should give you a clearer idea of what digital audio is and what it is good for.

Several years ago I did some articles on how to record performances in both schools and churches for Technologies for Worship Magazine. I've put together a blog about them which starts here:

Why are the major labels trying to fight piracy!?!?!?

https://torrentfreak.com/pirates-spend-much-more-money-on-music-study-shows-160226/
A new study has shown that music piracy is still rampant in the United States with 57 million people between the ages of 13 and 50 accessing music through unauthorized sources. Interestingly, however, these pirates also spend significantly more money on CDs and paid downloads, more than their counterparts who only consume legally.

and it goes as always since the 20's. all you need is the original and press it,all you need is the cd and share it,all you need is the mp3 and broadcast it as your own. The future is so bright you have to wear shades...
Apparently according to cnn, it is toomuch effort to pour milk on cereal for Gen Y,so why bother downloading from a  site where someone who didn't get introduced to auto tune the day before they wrote a song.
I agree with sentiment and have bought a few bootleg vinyls(remember those things that kept the midrange? :) It is out of control though if you are a minnow.

So the movie industry is in a panic about piracy, and they keep making more money? Something is wrong here...

Great article from +Rick Falkvinge:

"sickening existential defense from an industry that makes sure that 99.99% of music authors never see a single cent in royalty. (A more proper question would be how a music author or composer can possibly earn a living with the copyright industry still in existence.)"

Simple answer to the question on how we can earn a living? We can't, unless your a Glass or Adams, the rest of us are tutoring for cigarettes and coffee money.

This is what we've been talking about- "Muzit uses DMCA notices as a means to connect artists and fans."

https://torrentfreak.com/startup-leverages-dmca-notices-as-artist-marketing-too-160106l/
Every day millions of pirates are being tracked by companies working for the entertainment industries. This data is often used to warn or even sue alleged offenders, but a new startup is taking a different route. Instead of punishing pirates they treat them as fans, allowing artists to use DMCA notices as a marketing tool.

I love this place. If you go into a Radio Shack the prices are through the roof, the selection is weak, and the people working at the store know very little. At Al Lasher's you get exactly the opposite.

I have been nearsighted for many years and have seen many optometrists. Recently I saw Dr. Michael G. Kiyomoto, and, in my opinion, he is absolutely excellent. Very detailed, very careful, lots of explanation, was not trying to sell me glasses. I strongly recommend Dr. Kiyomoto.
