I'm having real difficulty trying to link from a deep Activity back to my app's top-level MainActivity in a way that doesn't break the stack. Using FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK on the Intent makes every subsequent launch of the app discard the task stack for some reason, but not using it means the link doesn't to the right thing if my deep activity is owned by a different app's stack. Advice welcomed. #android

The ActionBar-PullToRefresh Android library has a transient dependency on "com.android.support:appcompat-v7:+", which currently pulls in the v21 rc1 version of appcompat, and breaks my build. Turns out, gradle can deal with this!

    compile ('com.github.chrisbanes.actionbarpulltorefresh:extra-abc:0.9.9') {
        // depends on cutting-edge support library, which is currently 21rc1 and breaks things. 2014-06 TI
        exclude group: "com.android.support", module: "appcompat-v7"
    }

I don't really like the way cupboard guesses how to update the table schema, and I have very transient data, so would it be possible to get a `cupboard().withDatabase(...).dropTables()` that I can call in my onUpgrade?

WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_SECURE

"Window flag: treat the content of the window as secure, preventing it from appearing in screenshots or from being viewed on non-secure displays."

I keep seeing an intermittent "cast screen" tile on my N5 settings pull-down, but I can't work out what I did to make it happen..

Today I discovered Kitkat's TransitionManager. waaargh, so cool. And so annoying that I can't actually use it in anything real, because API 91.

I've put my Aperture library in my Google Drive folder and all my photos are automatically available in Plus photos. This is awesome. It would be more awesome if this feature understood Aperture's folder format and didn't also put all the auto-generated thumbnails in plus as well, each in their own unique UUID-named album.
