Great hostel, but not in a great neighbourhood.

You do not need a large portion.

Tasty sandwich, but fairly expensive for what it was, and a miserly portion by local standards. Go to a deli that isn't in the overpriced and overcrowded chelsea market and you'll get better food for less.

Great little store, but quite a small selection.

Stayed here for a few nights on a recent hiking trip. Amazing value, very friendly and helpful proprietors, plenty of space, ideal location for nearby Mt. Marcy and Adirondack Loj trailhead.

Not the place to go if you value form over function. Positives: Excellent value, good food, interesting menu (I had intestine), free tea, quick service, polite staff Negatives: Food almost suspiciously fast, cheap/dated decor, informal

I came here to get a sandwich to go. Once I'd got past a man with a very thick accent (the proprietor?) to get served, they were courteous and fairly rapid. The food was slightly pricey but well worth it given the excellent quality and portions.
