Slate Run Historical Farm
The Columbus Metroparks' Slate Run Historical Farm is a gem of the Columbus area.  It's close enough to the city to not be too far away, but distant enough that you feel like you're in another world.  An 1880's world. It's one of our favorite places to visi...

Spectacular light was key to this film image I snapped with my first camera- a Samsung point and shoot on Kodak Gold 100 in 1999. #Australia #Uluru   #film   #epson #v600

Let's Reset
This is the kind of stuff we do on a cold winter evening! When I started writing here, I was dating Megan.  We've now been married for 7.5 years.  Brody, our youngest, just turned 3 and Weston will be 5 on Sunday.  I had my 35 birthday on February 16.  How'...

The time to take a picture is when you see it! In 2001, on a family trip to Maine, we stayed in a little inn next door to this really cool pub near East Boothbay. I think just my mom went in- and listened to some live music. What a cool, laid back place. When Megan and I checked it out during our honeymoon in 2006, the place had been painted white and food was white-tabled clothed Italian, which If I remember correctly, was pretty good. Still, I missed the yellow- I'm glad I took this photo. A quick look at Google street view today shows the building is no longer a restaurant- its now a private home. This building has lost all its charm, and there is simply no possible way I could ever get this photograph again.

In 2001, I made my first visit to the state of Maine.  Upon waking up in Rangely, I looked out across Haley Pond to see this magical scene unfolding.  I recently purchased the Epson V600 scanner, which has helped bring to light many of my older images that I shot on slide film.  Thanks +Epson America!  #maine #rangely #sunrise #film

This photo of an American Rubyspot, from 2010 on the Olentangy River in Columbus Ohio, really gets me in the mood for summer.
