Thank you so much to everyone who has donated towards Diane's Birthday Wish. With a little over two months to go to her mile stone birthday Diane is in full training. She is an inspiration to us all. http://ow.ly/10bPdS

An update from Diane "Six hundred thousand dollars is an audacious goal, but it is not an impossible one - not if we all do our part. A few weeks ago, my children took me to see Kung Fu Panda 3 - a great children's movie, with a great message: if we all do what we can and do it together (in hope), we can overcome the most heinous evil. Yes - even the evil of human trafficking. You can run with me for their freedom by donating. (Who knows maybe we might even be able to get Jack Black to help us if he hears about this.)" ‪#‎KungFuPanda3‬ ‪#‎jackblack‬ ‪#‎Dianesbirthdaywish‬ ‪#‎stophumantrafficking‬ http://ow.ly/10bP4f

Diane is over the 5,000 mark with three months to go. Lets make her birthday wish come true and raise 600,000. If we get 10,000 people to give $60 each, we will raise $600,000 - wouldn't that be awesome?! We can do this, if we all work Together in Hope. http://ow.ly/10bOUa #dianesbirthdaywish #konamarathon #stophumantrafficking

Why has Diane chosen Human Trafficking as her cause? "We have learned that in the Philippines, Cambodia, and other parts of SE Asia, El Salvador and other parts of Central America, and the U.S. human trafficking is a huge issue, disproportionately impacting the poor. It is also a huge issue in the United States. Both here in the U.S. and abroad, children, young men and women and even adults are being bought, sold, and smuggled as modern-day slaves, often beaten, starved, drugged and forced to work as prostitutes or to take jobs as migrant, domestic, restaurant, or factory workers with little or no pay and without freedom to leave. Trafficking is a heinous crime which exploits the most vulnerable in society, especially the poor. So, Together in Hope is stepping into the fight to help stop it. In order to effectively help fight human trafficking, Together in Hope is working with one local and one international organization that rescues and cares for victims and one organization that is working to ensure that laws that protect victims and punish perpetrators are adopted and enforced." ‪#‎Dianesbirthdaywish‬ ‪#‎stophumantrafficking‬ http://ow.ly/10bOHX

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to all of you who gave so generously to Team Together in Hope’s team of runners for the March 6, 2016 Katy Half Marathon. Because of you, we were able to fully fund the work in Bicol, Upper Javier, and Malis Philippines for another year. The children are sending letters with “Ate Becks” who is arriving in the U.S. next month from Bicol and we will send you a full report on the wonderful work that is being done there to help lift children and families lift themselves out of poverty.

Happy International Woman's Day. Today we are grateful for the amazing mothers and caregivers in EThiopia and the Philippines! 'I’m Rica Robles, resident of Upper Javier, Sandigan; with 3 children but one passed away and 2 are living. Together in Hope and Harris has helped us a lot through the Livelihood Center. It helps us mothers in our finances as we have learned to make rugs, pillow cases, bed sheets, and blankets. We are grateful to Together in Hope and Harris because until now, we continue to use and care for the Sewing Center here at Upper Javier. Thank you so much Together in Hope'- Rica Robles, The Philippines

We would like to say, “Thank you so much!” to all of our supporters. In 2014, we achieved many things; it was a great year. We raised an incredible $54,541 for our communities in the Philippines thanks to our volunteers and donors. We were able to support two new communities in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Yolanda.Read all about it in our latest newsletter http://ow.ly/BlQMm
