Financial Coach & Author Teaching You How To Build Wealth Step-by-Step at FinancialMentor.com
Introduction
I'm a former hedge fund manager who retired at 35 (long ago) to help others achieve their financial goals through next level financial education.

I write about advanced topics in retirement planninginvestment strategy and wealth building at FinancialMentor.Com. Not the usual "frugality" or "buy and hold" mantra, but advanced topics you don't find everywhere else and need to know to reach your goals.

I also offer money coaching services and have authored several ebooks including How Much Money Do I Need To Retire? and an expose revealing the truth behind variable annuities.

Besides teaching personal finance, my other passions include my wife and two kids, and anything adventurous or athletic.

I love running, cycling, swimming, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and adventure travel.
Bragging rights
Professionally, my bragging right is that I tend to be ahead of the curve in the financial world. I was a partner in a hedge fund back when they were just called Private Placement Partnerships. Foolishly, I also sold it too early in 1997 to pursue financial education. Again, I was the first one on the web to become a "financial coach" before the term became vogue. Now, I'm relentlessly pursuing a financial education business because I naively believe that financial advice should be separated from investment product sales to avoid conflicts of interest. We'll see how that goes... Personally, my bragging rights are that I'm running the best mile times of my life at age 50 and have a wonderful wife and two amazing kids who teach me something new every day.
