The Checkered Churn Cafe. Almost exactly a mile walk from my house. The iced Chai vanilla is quite a treat on a muggy day.

Baby steps of progress. Not being able to use Skype has been a deal killer for many prospective Chromebook owners.

Chromebook Users Can Now Make Voice Calls Via Skype For Web

Microsoft had not shown much interest in allowing Chromebook users to make and receive voice calls and video calls on Skype for Web, until recently that is

A battery powered "dog bot" by Boston Dynamics. A little creepy, but it can climb steps...

Donald Trump As Marvel Comics Supervillain MODAAK
http://www.inquisitr.com/3283245/donald-trump-as-marvel-comics-supervillain-modaak/

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump may very well be a real-life super-villain to so many Americans, and people all over the world, right

When I get to thinking how awful the world is because Piers Morgan still has air in his lungs; I see your posts and have hope. You ride your bike and kick your feet up once in a while. I too will kick my feet up and wait for Piers to die.

OK. So I opened up the USA Today app for the first time in months and they added Virtual Reality 360 degree tours. No headset required. The view changed as I turned my phone. Holy crap!

From USA Today

Explore a megaship in 360 degrees

Step aboard the CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin in this exclusive 360-degree tour. Spanning the length of four football fields and rising 20 stories, the giant container ship at the Port of Long Beach is the largest container ship to ever dock in the U.S.

If you didn't know, there are 360 videos on YouTube, too. If you open the search filter, 360 is one of the options. Pretty cool stuff!

Work
Occupation
Blue collar Laborer 3rd shift
Skills
Woodworking, electronics hobby, automotive/motorcycle electrical, and mechanical systems, handy with a soldering iron, circular saw, and half inch drive ratchet, custom building bicycles, and cooking (but the really GOOD ingredients are expensive)
Employment
  • Marathon Cheese
Laborer, Forklift Operator, 2001 - present
Cheese gets brought to me in blocks ranging from 7 pounds to 680 pounds. I take the blocks out of their "shipping container" and prepare them for the production lines. On the lines, the Cheese gets sliced, diced, cubed, or shredded, packaged, labled, boxed up, palletized, and stored in a warehouse sized cooler to await shipping to stores, restaurants, or other factories. It pays the rent.

Fitness buff, cycling, techie, Instagram snap shooter, minimalist kinda
Introduction
The year, 2015, I'm 39. I love doin stuff outdoors: Biking, hiking, snowshoing, camping, kayaking. I call myself a "leatherneck Lutheran" because it's amazing what a person of faith can live through. I'm half Eskimo n half french Canadian so it's an intriguing mix w being Lutheran.  ..
After meeting so many new people here on G+, I've also learned I'm a contrarian and a minimalist, kinda. As a Christian Contrarian, if you post something controversial or I may find offensive, I'm likely to comment on it. I welcome debate and different points of view. I'm not a sore loser and if things get too hot, I'll simply remove you from my circles. I beleive being blocked is a terrible thing. So someone has to hit pretty hard below the belt before I'll block them.
I also enjoy wrenching on my truck, fixing up bicycles for friends n family, and volunteering at my church. I'm hoping to obtain a Harley Sportster 1200 in the next year or two. A bit of a technophyle as well. I love Android, Chromecast, and Strava cycling. I enjoy commuting by bike to work twice a week, which is 10 miles / 35 minutes one way. I am a "tree hugger" as well. I enjoy rock music as far back as the seventies to today, trance, rap, pop, 80's pop, hip hop, and mellow electronic. Love sci fi movies, action, thiriller, well made dramas and comedies, and based on true story films. I do have a complicated past. I'm working very hard at keeping my present and future as uncomplicated as possible. Work hard, play harder, eat, sleep, wash, rinse, repeat...

Great lunch menu. Homemade sandwich spreads and locally grown sandwich greens. Good selection of hot and cold coffee beverages and teas. Wonderful old timey atmosphere.

The maintenance crew is awesome. Fixes or replaces stuff right away. Snow removal. Power remote garage doors. Lawn care. In house laundry. 3 sizes of 1 bedroom units. Also has 2 or more bedroom units. Short drive to County Market, Shop Ko, Walgreens, Menards, banks n bars. Gets three stars because the landlord allows smoking indoors. Great, if you're a smoker.

A great place to save money on tools and supplies. I would not reccomend their cordless tools, but their corded power tools, impact sockets, breaker bars and clicker torque wrenches compete nicely with name brands. I also buy a lot of automotive stuff from them too. Definitly "man card" territory.

Been going there for years. They've taken excellent care of my teeth. The first time I've had my teeth worked on where I wasn't gripping the chair with a white knuckle grip. Friendly, quick, and quite professional.

Great atmosphere. Lattes not as good as Biggby Coffee, but $2 cheaper and still better than anything I can make. My date and I enjoyed the checker board while solving the world's problems. Plenty of seating and a bookworms paradise.

When the cook is having a bad day, don't order a steak. The ribs are great I hear and the mushroom and swiss burger I had was quite nice, served with fries. A very well stocked bar and a toleration for kids, complete with crayons and an activity sheet. I'd recommend this place to my friends and family.
