Ordered aftermarket photoetch and decals for the Mobius Battlestar Galactica kit. I'm fairly intimidated, and the lighting kit I also ordered is not even here yet.

I don't understand how you can have an administration that comes right out and lies to your face - and not in the traditional politician double-speak way, or in promises that won't be fulfilled - and people feel it's ok

I mean, when what they are saying is categorically, demonstrably false, in direct opposition to readily available evidence, and they even start using words like "alternative facts"...

It hurts my brain.

Organizers officially canceled the march portion of the Women's March on Chicago after the number of participants swelled to an estimated 250,000, but that didn't stop thousands from taking to the streets — peacefully — of the Loop on Saturday afternoon.

Oklahoma has a state senator who has repeatedly submitted creationist bills, which so far haven't passed. He’s back with a new bill that’s about teaching scientific controversies in general. Technically the bill would support teachers instructing the class in the magic power of crystals, but everyone knows it’s about evolution and climate change.

The NCSE does a great job of staying on top of this sort of thing.

Introduction
I have a wonderful wife and son.  I love being outdoors, big into hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, running, biking, triathlon, etc.  I also enjoy strategy games (miniature wargaming, board games, computer games) and pen and paper RPGs.  I enjoy reading about history, physics and science.

I'm employed! And I run really far, by choice, over and over.
