Are you interested in learning more about the Cypher System?  Have you explored the Ninth World of Numenera?  Have you visited the numberless recursions of The Strange?  Do you salivate whenever Monte Cook Games says "Kickstarter?"  Perhaps "Cypher Live" will be your kind of hangout!

+Ryan Chaddock (Ryan Chaddock Games) , +Marc Plourde (blogger at Inspiration Strikes), and I, James Walls (some dude) are kicking off our new On Air Hangout/YouTube feature "Cypher Live" with a trip "Into the Night!"  This recent MCG release allows Numenera GM's and Players to take their weird campaigns to the wondrous and unlimited realms of space.  We'll be talking about our impressions of the book, campaign ideas, new rules (SPACESHIPS!), and much more.

We'd love for you to join us!

You can discover Into the Night yourself here:

Say YES to No Thank You, Evil!

Monte Cook Games is currently Kickstarting an awesome kid-friendly role-playing game called No Thank You, Evil .  How do we know it's awesome?  Carrie (11), Evie (8) and I had a chance to take part in the playtest!

We are delighted to have creator Shanna Germain as a guest for a very special, live edition of Living 4 Crits featuring questions from my two kiddos about No Thank You, Evil, gaming in general, and perhaps a little impromptu dancing.

It's live, so anything can happen right?  We hope you can join us!

Interested in finding out more about No Thank You, Evil?  Check out their Kickstarter page here:

Ohunkakan: The Living Myths is our recreated Native recursion for The Strange. It's available as a free download to everyone.

If you know me at all, you know that doing the right thing and getting the thing right are both very important to me. So I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who helped us do the right thing and get the thing right.

This is a beautiful book. If you think so too, please send your praise to writers Alina Pete and Anthony Pastores and artist Winona Nelson. I can't say how much it means to me that they worked with us on this project.
An Ever-Changing Land of Myth and Power The old stories still live. Tale-tellers practice their art, the constant flux of their tellings and retellings weaving an ever-changing tapestry of myth that shapes the fabric of reality. Landmarks, villages, and even the patterns of stars shift across the landscape, the familiar freely mixes with the mythic, and elements of dim ages stubbornly persist alongside images pulled from modern Earth. I'm not sure I say anything articulate in this interview. I mostly laugh a lot.

My interviewers, however, are smart and articulate and very, very worth watching!

I keep trying to decide what my favorite part of this sketch is... I think it's her hair and his souped-up wheelchair.

(Sketch by the incredible Tiffany Turrill. Final to come soon!)

My family relocated to the area, so we're just getting settled in and suddenly my eldest dog was limping and we couldn't figure out why. I called Healthy Paws after looking at some reviews. I called them, explained the issue, forwarded dogs medical records from previous vet. They got me in that afternoon and gave me a checklist of everything they were going to do. They were able to accommodate me as I had to go pick up kids and leave my dog with them. After returning, I found out my 10 year old pup tested positive for Lyme disease. They were knowledgeable as they answered all my questions and gave me clear concise directions on the prescriptions. Very professional and personable. I highly recommend them.
