Hey, +Google+ Help
, got an issue. I have no issues connecting to G+ or any other Google services via the web (Chrome) from my desktops or from my phone. I also have no issues connecting to any of the other Google services (mail, search, etc) on my phone. However, when I attempt to access G+ from the G+ app installed on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (stock, non-rooted) phone, it fails. I was getting "unable to connect, retry". So , I did some troubleshooting (with an attempt after each one); I have force closed, force closed and cleared cache, force close clear cache and delete data, and finally FC, CC, DD, and uninstall updates. Following the first "delete data" I had to select an email address to use to log in, and from that point on, I get "unable to connect to server"
The symptoms occur on WiFi, and on wireless mobile.
A co-worker with an S3 is able to access G+ using the G+ installed on his phone. I am able to access G+ on an iPad I have available using the G+ app on that device. It only doesn't work on my personal phone.
This started happening after I rebooted the phone (for no particular reason). Oh, and I have rebooted, again, to see if that helped... nothing.
The G+ app version is 18.104.22.168968121. I don't know what it was when I started having problems... I assume it was the same as I recall updating G+ recently.
Any ideas? Please don't tell me I have to factory reset the phone to fix this.... puhlease!
