One of the coolest features of Cortana is location based reminders.  I can tell her to remind me to pick up ice cream next time I'm a the supermarket and she will remind me when I'm there.  I love that!

+Todd Bryant I love that feature too. Siri also does it and it works great there too. Not sure of Google Now has it.

This week I switched over to using OneNote for my Sunday School lessons.  There are several reasons for the switch.

#1   Eliminates (or significantly reduces paper)
#2   Provides students with a notebook of notes for future review
#3   Ensures all students are prepared to participate because scripture reading is highlighted in the notes
#4  Prepares students for college-level note taking.
#5  Most if not all students have smart phones and can read along.

Have you made the switch ?

Has anyone implemented a List Server like PHPList to manage the various emails that comes from groups and committees?     I'm thinking about it but wanted to know what others have tried.

Two products.
1. Google apps for your domain--> now Google work
2. Google Domains (new).

You linked to 2.  I still think that Mailchimp, Aweber, Constanct contact, etc. is better.

1 USB port is NOT an issue.   If you need an additional port, buy a hub.  I have 2 on mine HP Split X2, I never use either more than one.

+Michael Bull Actually, I do use a bluetooth mouse, but recently switched to a wired one as they are so much lighter, less laggier, and dont take a second to connect everytime I lock the pc (plus since I actually use the screen in the native resolution, without making everything larger, I need a high DPI mouse)
I dont know if you have used the device on your lap much (or how you sit with it), but for me that is not a problem. Even while working on a train, I am able to have it sitting on my lap, and be typing and using it without a problem.

I do not connect harddrives to simply transfer a file - What would be the point of transferring a whole site/app to the PC, just so I need to transfer it back to the harddrive an hour (or less) later? In programming you do not use one small file - you often will need all the files and resources to ensure that everything is working correctly...
I'm also not sure about the overheating problem - this is what you get when you get a thin device. Have you used the iPhone 6? It is also much hotter than most other devices out there. The heat doesnt bother me, as I do not hold the device in my hands while running dreamweaver, netbeans, photoshop, etc.

Like I did say - this depends on how you use the device - but having the i7, 256gb, the 'overheating' does not cause me problems at all. The device has always been perfectly stable on my lap, and the only down-side I see is the one USB port which does greately limit things...
You suggest changing how I use the device to copy the files onto the computer; could I suggest that you maybe keep your feet straight while having it on your lap, and do not touch the back of the device?
You could get a case if the heat is bothering you (kind of how I could get a USB hub)...

(and since you obviously didnt read my previous comments, which addressed the issue of 'transferring a small file' - I have a 2TB external hdd, which I use as my 'working directory' this year. I expect it to be full very soon. Transferring 'something from a usb for a few minutes' will turn into transferring 10+ gb per project (and often I will need to go back to see how I did things previously).
