But will it have a traditional, three-pedal, stick shift, manual transmission?...

Toyota and BMW shared a beautiful sporst-car night together. Meet the new Supra.

From the April 2015 issue You can see why Toyota and BMW would choose the code name “Silk Road” to describe their collaborative effort to build a new generation of sports cars. East meets West and all that. We will forgive the companies the minor historical inaccuracy—the Silk Road trade route never extended to Japan […]

Ddamn those comments make you think. Seems to be better suited for heavy load usage better than light, but I would have to use them in my inline skates to know if they are better.

Pics from the 24h Nürburgring this past weekend. A lot to digest, but the biggest take away is the ongoing "anti-swoopy" trend (aesthetically & Engineering). I am wondering if the move away from complicated compound curves translates to solar cars - the pinnacle of "swoopy." There may not be enough justification to spend thousands and thousands of hours just to gain 0.0001% reduction in drag, to the detriment of other things (liking making power, lowering weight). As seen in the pics, it seems Audi and Citroen agree. Relieving high pressure areas are being given more importance, and harsh corners are rounded, but that's about it...

Enamored with this LMP2 pic. Note it has, for the most part, done away with concern for swoopy aerodynamics, particularly around the safety cell. The edges are eased, but that's about it.

After 1.7 million miles we’ve learned a lot — not just about our system but how humans drive, too.

...speaking of car interiors, some say an electric car's lack of engine noise is a bad thing ("boring"), so how about this mechanical flip-tile as a dashboard gauge for the supercapacitor? As you enact the regenerative braking and/or kinetic energy recovery, the supercap "fills up" and displays available power from 0 to 9. Each time the flip-tile goes up and down, there's that neat clicking sound.
