Nearly one in three American women will have an abortion by age 45. Why are we so afraid to talk about it?

Very very interesting. +Tyler Duzan

2.6.0 is out.  The app now supports PGP/ECC - ECDSA/ECDH keys.  ECDSA and ECDH use elliptic curve keys instead of DSA or RSA.  The profile for their use is specified here:  http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6637

This will make iPGMail compatible with the End-To-End crypto effort from Google.  Buried in their technical notes is the fact that they are going to use the PGP/ECC key profile instead of RSA and DSA like everyone else.  This means that when people start using the Google plugin, they are going to be to be incompatible with just about everyone else who is still using the stable GnuPG codebase (v2.0.XX), since GPG does not yet support PGP/ECC.  GnuPG users will not be able to send PGP to people using PGP/ECC keys until they adopt the PGP/ECC standard.

Because iPGMail is NOT based on GnuPG code, it is not limited to just what GnuPG is doing and I was able to incorporate the PGP ECC support and will be compatible with the Google project once it is completed.

iPGMail uses the OpenSSL crypto library (1.0.1g)  for all of its crypto functions. The rest of it is an independent implementation of RFC 4880 in Objective-C for the iOS platform.  [And, no, the crypto code does NOT include the "heartbleed" issue - that was from the OpenSSL SSL implementation, not the crypto library].

The curves used in the ECC profile for PGP (RFC 6637) are NOT among the "potentially" compromised list that the NSA infected.

The mentally handicapped parents topic appeared on the +reddit again today. One child of such parents posted about her struggles, having to essentially raise herself while being the guardian of the people who created her. I've posted on this subject before: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+TobyKo/posts/guyRSr4yNAc

>Both my parents are mentally handicapped - legitimately and obviously mentally handicapped. I love them and they love me but it sucks.

>The responsibility that I had to assume at a young age is ridiculous. The concerns, worries and responsibilities I still assume are ridiculous.

>It's hard enough growing up to be we'll adjust with two good parents let alone with two parents who have the mental and emotional capacity of Tweens (on a good day).

Requests for user information from governments around the world are up 120 percent since 2009: http://goo.gl/11v9LP. Often these requests come in the form of a warrant from a government agency in the U.S.—here’s a video showing how we protect users' information from excessive requests, while also following the law:

If you want to know what transit problems look like, look no further than +POLITICO's photo essay of how to get into the city from Marietta using only public transit.

"It may have been designed to keep urban poverty out, but metropolitan Atlanta’s fractured transportation network has ended up trapping suburban poverty in."
“As affluent young professionals and older empty nesters flock back into cities across the country in search of better lifestyles,” writes Rebecca Burns, “the suburbs left behind are increasingly stuck with a demographic—the working poor and struggling middle class—they were never built to accommodate.” The problem is especially bad in Atlanta, where reverse migration is exacerbated by a notoriously poor transp...

The CRP is very important.
As a rule, I don’t download time-sucking games onto my phone. Tinder is the exception. Back in May, when I first made space on my screen for that little red f

Apparently making mean jokes to each other allows men to let losses roll off them in a way women don't (according to these ladies)
Katty Kay and Claire Shipman, authors of this month's ;<em>Atlantic</em> ;cover story, sit down with Hanna Rosin to discuss the power of confidence and how self doubt holds women back. ;
