Some of our customers wanted tablets that would boot automatically when connected to power. So I have modded a few devices to disable offline charging. I thought that it would be nice to share my experiences in a blog post if somebody wants to do the same.

Hi guys and gals. We have now released an iOS version of the WytePad Scan app. It is not feature complete yet, but we hope it is enough to make it easier to snap pictures of paper sketches with those darn expensive iPhones :)
The app is free

You can get the iOS version here:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wytepad-scan/id1146361389

and the Android version is still available here:

Thank you +Nazmul Idris for the great feedback. Now you can swipe the screen to change the intensity of the color filter. I hope this will make the app work better for mockups drawn with pencil.

We like sketching out our app ideas by hand. So we just released a free app that makes it easy to scan wireframes and use them in prototyping apps like Marvel.
Print PDF with wireframes. Draw sketches. Use app to take picture. Boom - it fixes perspective and colors. Use images in favorite app.
It is fresh as a ripe pineapple - I uploaded it to Play a week ago and would really appreciate any feedback.

Best summer wishes. Tobias

I like drawing app ideas and sketches by hand. Afterwards i uses Marvel App to make a prototype. However it sucks to take pictures of sketches, so for the last month I have been developing an app to do just that. It uses image recognition to automatically colorcorrect and crop the image.

I uploaded the app to Google Play yesterday and would appressiate any kind of feedback :D

Hi, I just released an app and would really like some feedback.
I work at a app development company and prefer to sketch apps by hand and create prototypes with Marvel App.
I DISLIKE how hard it is to take pictures of sketches with my phone. So now we have created an app that uses computer vision to auto correct perspective and colors and crop the screen.

The first version of the app is out now and available on Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.appdictive.wytepadapp

Any thoughts?

We develop a sketching tool called WytePad. Most of July we have been working on enhancing the process of using paper based sketches for app design. One major pain is when you need to take pictures of the sketches and use them for prototypes in Marvel App etc.
So last week we released a free app that uses image recognition algorithms to automatically detect the screen, crop, transform and fix lighting. It should work with most smart phone templates but we provide a pdf for printing as well if needed.
We apriciate any kind of feedback as we would like to make the app as good as possible.

Use this app to scan hand drawn wireframes. It automatically crops and corrects perspective.

Print smartphone outlines from PDF and use this app to scan them. What do you think?

iOS and Android devices made of whiteboard material. What do you think?
These prototypes are lasercut from acrylic glass with whiteboard foil on top. We are thinking about creating a small batch for selling. Would you buy one?
