This is a worthwhile read. I am still recovering from yet another bout of pneumonia:. my immune system has put up an admirable fight, but we (me & my body) seem to be losing as I have been mostly bedridden.
Why do I keep to myself? Well, yesterday, a nurse suggested that I might be lazy. The psychiatric model prevails and caused the loss of my home and possessions.
It took 30 years to get a positive test, which is minimally helpful. I wait longer for the good days and try to use them wisely. But damn it all, this is hard.
I can hope to feel better or die, but recovery seems out of reach.
