My experience was that this place is overated. 4.2 average on here and recommended in the Boston Lonely Planet guide book however whilst the food was very good (steak tips very tender and burger melt in your mouth) the beer (and drinks in general) seem totally over-priced. I am a lover of craft ale however $15-20 a pint in some cases and $14 for a small glass of wine, no thanks.

Great beer selection. Good roast chicken. Exotic meats. Reasonable looking crowd.

If you like beer and happen to be in Beacon Hills, it's worth it. I counted 36 beers on tap on my visit. Food and service were also great

Killer cocktails. I recommend the Seven Samurai. Beer pairings given with entrées. I had the Lemon Risotto. It was absolutely wonderful. The chef (chefs?) at Tip Tap is/are on top of their game. Not too expensive, superb food and drinks.

Been here a few times for drinks and its a solid choice for the Beacon Hill/West End area. The is plenty of space to sit and they have a large beer menu and specialty cocktails on their list. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. This place can get busy on weekends and in the summer months when they open up the windows so get there early.
