ARQ ( http://imdb.com/title/tt5640450/ ) is right up my alley. A time loop but with several quirks along the way to add variation, and not in the traditional style. Rating 9/10.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-38421026 - for once, US did not veto something that goes against Israel. It's about bloody time those settlements were condemned and halted, even though I assume Israel will ignore the resolution.
The UN Security Council backs a call to end illegal Israeli settlements after the US refuses to veto.

Ancillary Justice ( http://goodreads.com/book/show/18626964 ) is compelling from start to finish. The weaving of past and present is well done, the characters are interesting, and the story just works. I don't even know why it's so good, but I have nothing bad to say about it. Rating 5/5.

Arrival ( http://imdb.com/title/tt2543164/ ) is very good. The sound design especially stands out, but the visuals are also up there. It all comes together to create a deeply aware mood. Add to that some non-linear time and linguistic relativity, and it's great. Rating 9/10.

"Euro MPs vote to freeze Turkey EU membership talks": http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-38090121 - over 10 years of negotiation, and they've only wanted to do 1 of 35 required policy adjustments, and they're even considering bringing back an instant disqualification in the form of capital punishment. Formally freezing the talks seems entirely correct - they were de facto frozen anyway.
The European Parliament votes to freeze Turkey's EU membership talks, amid human rights concerns.

Suicide Squad ( http://imdb.com/title/tt1386697/ extended ) is kinda meh. Some interesting DC characters, and also Boomer. I would have preferred if Joker was kept entirely in flashbacks and post-climax - pseudo-part-of-the-plot really doesn't work. Enchantress could have been cool, but for half the movie she just stands there twitching like she has to pee. The squad members are definitely not equal - way too much focus is given to Will Smith; they should learn how to do ensembles from Whedon. And the tone is far too serious throughout. They clearly tried to put in some lighthearted scenes, but then they immediately ruin that mood with super serious business followups. Nowhere are the moods woven together in a cohesive whole, leading to some unfortunate swings. Overall feels like a B-movie. Rating 5/10.

Spectral ( http://imdb.com/title/tt2106651/ ) is very much meh. A b-movie being a b-movie. Starts off feeling like Aliens, turns more into Spirits Within, but never really goes beyond average in execution, and the conclusion is kinda silly. Rating 5/10.

Rogue One ( http://imdb.com/title/tt3748528/ ) is fine. A criminal lack of opening text crawl - hopefully they can add one for the disc release. Definitely a B-story feel to the whole thing. A bit too much focus on the fighting and contrivances rather than the story. No overt force users or Jedi, and I do kinda watch Star Wars for those things - the one force sensitive guy doesn't cut it. But, Alan Tudyk makes a great droid. Rating 7/10.

Jason Bourne ( http://imdb.com/title/tt4196776/ ) is one long fake-handy-cam chase sequence. Why was this movie even made? Asides from the last 5 minutes, Bourne is never shown to be convincingly superior. Maybe he's getting old? Either way, incredibly mediocre. Production quality is of course top notch, but there's no story to speak of. The original trilogy was great - this was not. Rating 5/10.

3rd wisdom tooth pulled. And as with the others, the whole process took 30 minutes, half of which was waiting. I still don't get why there are so many viral YouTube videos of people being drugged out of their mind. Here in Denmark, we just get very local anesthesia. We can walk out and continue as if nothing happened. The only special instructions is to not gargle for rest of the day.
And apparently my tooth was so special she wanted to keep it for educational purposes. The tooth's three roots were severely diverging instead of converging, and a tiny piece of other tooth was growing right next to the wisdom tooth. So she wanted to show that to the students.
She did initially ask if I wanted it with me home...but no thanks. Besides, I have one remaining.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ( http://imdb.com/title/tt3183660/ ) is a bit confused about what it wants do be. It's trying to shoehorn a serious business story into a movie about whimsical magic beasts, and it doesn't quite work. If it had stuck to either of its guns, that'd have worked much better. Still fine, but could have been better. Rating 7/10.
