MMM MMM Finger Lickin' Good!  Tyler Florence's Southern Fried Chicken, California Style!
NorCal life suited him, and the bounty that he discovered — locally made cheeses, outrageously good vegetables and fruit all year round — only deepened his simple-is-best approach to food and cooking. The menu has enough familiar dishes that it avoids challenging the businessmen and tourists who, hoping to catch a glimpse of Florence, crowd the space nightly. The mainstays include deviled eggs, a righteous burger, creamed spinach and towering w...

My second chef profile photos in the SF Chronicle!  Check out Chef Tusk's Pea Risotto!
If you’ve lived in the Bay Area long enough, you might remember Quince’s early, earnest beginnings a dozen years ago and the restaurant’s original jewel-box space (now home to Octavia), where the husband-and-wife team of Michael and Lindsay Tusk stepped out on their own. [...] if you write about food in a town for long enough, as I have, you end up bearing witness to many failures and restaurant closures — not every place or chef can be great. ...

IF your teens drive - do they know how to maneuver from a water skid or stop on a dime?  Mine do - they got to drive (someone else's car!) and learn how to drive safely.  It was SO valuable.  I recommend all kids, even adults, do this.  B.R.A.K.E.S. program!

I'm excited to have a series of my photos appear in the SF Chronicle over the next several weeks as part of their Top 100 Restaurants for 2015.  It was extraordinary to meet and see these top chefs in action and to feast on their delectable creations.
In the 16½ years since Delfina opened on 18th Street — long before Tartine Bakery drew lines and luxury condominiums started springing up like mushrooms after a rain — chef and co-owner Craig Stoll estimates he’s sold 120,000 plates of spaghetti with tomato sauce. The simple dish became a restaurant signature early on; The Chronicle ran a version of the recipe in early 1999, when a fresh-faced Stoll was named a Rising Star Chef. [...] rise he h...

Whenever my family travels we always rent with Avis. The staff is courteous, the transaction is always swift and we typically rent a van which they always have wherever we visit - even New Zealand! Best of all the prices are reasonable. We'll always drive Avis when we travel!

SFC is a wonderful community. We love Pastor Gabe who always has a relevant sermon. His sermons are the best I've ever heard at any church. We are fortunate to have discovered this church through friends.

Kona Ice West San Jose is super. They give back a portion of their proceeds to your function, they come on time and are a big hit with kids of all ages. It's such an easy (and healthy) was to raise money for your organization. I highly recommend them for schools from elementary all the way through high school. Great for raising money for clubs. They meet school nutrition requirements, very worth while checking out.
