Friendly, attentive staff. Rooms may be furnished slightly on the simpler side, but the front-side view of the ocean (and sunrise) was incredible. Lavish onsen. Good meal selection. Although not all signage is bilingual Japanese/English, the staff could provide explanation.

Excellent selection of specialty saké served with tasty tapas dishes. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and happy to chat nihonshu. Available varieties change on a weekly or biweekly basis.

Local bar in Ginza. Fair range of different whiskeys and bourbons, with some unique rums. Run by a friendly and chatty chap from Okinawa.

One of my favorite cafes in Kamakura. Coffee's always freshly roasted and delicious.

Was here for a medical check. Pleasant staff and swift service. Not much English however.

Pretty much the most authentic New York bagels in Tokyo. Tasty as they get. Ozo also has their own original cream cheeses which taste like the real deal - not light and sweet like the typical ones we see in town here.
